VALUE FOR MONEYanimalgirl wrote: »Hey everyone, would you say $39 a night at Bally's (North tower) is a good deal?
yes...well, depends on what days but seems to be a good deal to me.
but we like Bally's, I'm sure it would not be fancy and exciting enough for some, but the rooms are very big and we have gotten used to all the extra space. It's a good location, NT has lifts down to the pool level (so no walking through the casino).Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Online check in opens in a few hours for us! Eekkk!
I can't find the esta reference numbers that I put in a 'safe' place. Any ideas on how I get them again, or will I not need it?0 -

You can log into the ESTA site with your personal details, inc passport number.
However you don't need the numbers as it's all held electronically.0 -

I have no idea what 'unsuitable for women' activities he was getting up to whilst he was there:rotfl:

it's worth checking the VA seating plan every day (or hour!) in the week running up to flight time... just over 2 days until we fly, and all week, the outbound flight seat selection hasn't been available.
but just checked now, and not only was i able to select seats, but it's for the refurbed layout, outbound AND inbound!! AND got 2 seats in economy in the bubble for the outbound flight
Hiya
How do you know if its the refurbished plane? I have had a look on mine as we fly out on sunday eeeeeeeeeek but dont know where it would say its a refurbished one.
Also ive heard people say the bubble part of the plane, what is this and why do you choose to sit there? just wondering.

the layouts are slightly different, the refurbed plane will have ECO seats available in "the bubble" on the upper deck, whereas the 'old' layout does not.
also, the newly refurbed layout is called:
Boeing 747-400 (Seating configuration LGW-1) link
the 'old' layout is called:
Boeing 747-400 (Seating configuration 1) link
you'll see these names at the top of seating chart where you can select your seats (after logging in to your booking online)
the bubble is the upper deck, previously where UC / PE (?) seats were. on paper, the benefit of sitting up there is it's like having your own tiny little cabin... so like a much smaller tin of sardines
but to be fair, you can still get babies wailing up there, people kicking the back of your seat, and all the other joys of travelling ECO
it might not turn out to be much better than the lower deck, but on paper it's more appealing I think!0 -
HOTELSGot 2 in a row seats reserved for on our dec flight. Surprised to see there are still some left. In fact there are loads of seats not reserved yet in economy. Had to pay to reserve the 2 in a row on our return with ba from frisco. There seems to be a difference of 10 rows between the planes. On va the seats are in row 62 and on ba same seats are row 51.
Presumably our plane will be refurbished by dec, but I don't know whether its worth trying to try & jump in when they release the bubble seats and give up our 2 in a row seats to sit in the bubble in 3 in a row. Anybody any advice please. (Never even seen the upstairs other than in the movies so don't know what its like up there)0 -
CASINOSSorry for the silly question but what do you guys mean when you refer to the "upper level" of a plane? You don't mean like...a double decker plane do you?0

HOTELSthe missus had an arguments with her mates new boyfriend a few weeks ago about this - he insisted (having been with his mates), that she shouldn't be going to Vegas on holidays as it was no place for a women to go
I have no idea what 'unsuitable for women' activities he was getting up to whilst he was there:rotfl:
More to the point your wife's mate should look hard at her new boyfriend as this mcp attitude does not bode well for future harmony if she is not the mousy submissive type.:(0
