Best bit about that article was the advertisment picture of mine and Mr Dontone's favourite lawyer, Glen Lerner :rotfl:.Any time we had the telly on in our room in the Wynn, we were blinded by Glen's extremely shiny pearly whites. That smile is brighter than the Vegas sunshine.
Can't beat the billboard ad we came across on our very first visit in 2001. A lawyer called "Kermitt L Waters" wish we had a photo of that :)

  • Yeh I went last year in nov and was either extremely lucky or that's generally what it's like at that time of year ? Lol
Remember wearing t-shirts during the day and was chilly at nite, but got colder by last 2 nights was very cold in evening and had to invest in scarf and gloves lol ,
Does anyone think I got a bad deal ? I know Harrahs is not a great choice but had loads of choice around the 650 mark and went for the no resort fee option as my second choice was MGM and would have been an extra 175 dollars just in resort fees ?
I assume I have a standard room and was booked through Expedia ,
Anyone with any advice on diffrence between the BA. And Virgin flights ?
Went with Virgin last yr and thought it was a good service,
    Paul

The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

haha! Come over to the dark side...I did and really glad for it...and I have the folks here to thank.

Then again, I'm pretty sure that my packing to move would take less time than Tracy. ;)

As for November - we used to go every year in November and really liked it...

Even late in the months the average highs are in the mid to upper teens...just lovely for us.

Oh well, no going back now. Reduced our time at PlanetHo to 5 nights and having the last 5 at Platinum. We couldn't face having to take a change of clothes for every day and having washing to do when we get home. (Mind for the extra we are paying I probably could have gotten the hotel to wash, dry, iron, and fold all of our stuff)
And to be honest PlanetHo was not our first pick anyway, so was a bit apprehensive about staying there for 10 nights.

I sent the various links to my hubby and we both picked up on the same thing

Fact: This blog has never tasted anything at a restaurant that didn't benefit greatly from being served in an adorable little skillet.

    So true!

Thanks to all who have posted about this - reckon we may just do the BOB deal this trip...I'm still a bit iffy about it as we never manage to go to a buffet without overindulging and a 24-hour pass will just be a ticket to overindulging to get our money's worth...but we figure if we time it right and behave it could be an OK deal...

Fact: The blog writer needs to get out more
Fact: A skillet is a gimmick not a way of serving food
    Fact: It's a buffet not a restaurant
Fact: It will not be the same quality ingredients as a restaurant
Fact: You have to serve yourself
Fact: The food will not be hot
Fact: The beef will have spent so long out under the lights that what was once medium rare will turn into well done
Fact: The chicken will be dry for the same reason
Fact: It is overpriced for mass food that will be cold
Fact: A little bit of quality beats a lot of mediocrity
Fact: For $70 for 2 I can eat on the patio of MAG with wine
You would think Caesars were talking about the opening of a 3 star Michelin restaurant instead of a troughing station where men in wife beaters and smelly underarms compete with women wearing fanny packs and flip flops to see how much food you can stuff on a plate at one go.
"When we forced Chef Green to brag about just one item on the buffet’s menu, he picked the red velvet pancakes. “They’re absolutely amazing,” he claims. Coming in a close second is mini-sliders"
So the head chef "that trained in a Michelin star restaurant" says the pancakes and burgers are the best things on the menu.:rotfl:

methinks Stoneman has had baaaaad experiences at buffets and/or Caesars? :D

the couple we've been to have been amazing, food quality has been highly impressive, never been cold/overdone/underdone, etc.

i for one, will look forward to trying it!

though i don't think i could ever do a BoB type deal... one buffet usually wipes me out for a couple of days... and I can eat! :)
