Another vote for Walmart for non Vegas activities. We stay in a house so get to do a "proper" shop. I don't like supermarket shopping here but is it weird that I enjoy it in Vegas?

I agree and put it down to three things:

    1) At home you have to do it, in Vegas you do it if you want
    2) All the different American things to look at and ponder
    3) In general, most Americans do not treat a supermarket trip as a social event and just get on with it and get it done and get out as quickly as possible...I find the tendency of people here to stop and chat in the middle of the aisle with their trollies blocking everyone else to be completely bizarre even after living here for 11 years. Seriously, what is that about? :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

so, they let people who have never had any experience in driving (is it driving?) a speedboat just loose on their own? Seriously? I may have to look into this! :)

    heres where we hired,http://www.boatinglakemead.com/Page.aspx/pageId/46251/Boat-Rental-Rates.aspx

I did say it wasnt cheap, and to be honest scared me at first how fast it was, as i had never driven a speedboat before

I know we used about $50 of fuel in 2 hours

looks like you can use then for skiing, tubing etc

just having a look at this ... it's deff something we would fancy doing, do you know if we were to hire a boat and have never went water skiing /boarding etc before would they still allow us to try it out? or would we need to know how to water board/ski etc before trying?

or is there a place near by where we can try water skiing etc first?

thanks for the link though deff something i would never have t hought about and deff something we would enjoy doing :)

I have been skiing since I was a boy, used to own my own Mastercraft and kept it at Torquay harbour but it was a money eater. Tracy just drives and messes around on the ringo weeeeeee!!
Will defo look into this when we go in August
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

New offer from Platinum from $89 a night till September. This is a great deal. Free wifi, gym, no resort fee, and stunning suites.
I am in turmoil as I write this. We decided that we would stay on strip because I wanted a holiday that I didn't have to get the car out every time we went out at night so got Planetaladdinwood at $69 a night when I had been quoted Platinum at $109

Can I have my commission now please
