The gun store won't keep them that busy for long, it's pretty expensive and you can't do clay shooting there, it's all indoors.
Now the place we went to a couple of times might be right up their street. http://www.shootingsafaris.com/index.html
I don't know if he is still going but you can try.

I (significantly) tried to get hold of this guy for most of last year - both phoning at various times of the day (only getting voicemail which he didn't respond to), and emailing a couple of email addresses I obtained for him (from different email addresses)

This was over the course of 6 months... didn't get any response.

Still gutted, and would still love to do it even though his comm's are awful (tho there may have been good reason)

At a gun store, you're looking at spending $100 for a half hour experience with around 4 different guns, and no real history / explanation etc - this guy would have charged the 3 of us $120 each to do a varied package which would've lasted a few hours.

NVH that's so true about trying to contact this guy. I remember the last time we did this which was over 3 years ago he said that the range we were using was disbanding because the landlord wanted an obscene amount of money. Even the link to the gun club on his site is dead so probably he doesn't do it any more. But why pay for the hosting to continue?
A real shame, this was by a long stretch the best thing we ever did in Vegas, followed by the Mystery adventures
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I might try to talk my hubby into another Mystery Adventures for next trip...have done 2 and both were brilliant, but more my thing than his...it's probably second now to Roos N More for us, but only because of the otters...for a long time it was number 1 favorite thing we had done in Vegas.

That would actually be an interesting question for people to answer - what's your favorite non-standard thing you've done in Vegas...so something that maybe is slightly off the beaten track, or not something people would immediately think of doing during a Vegas trip?
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    Well you have my answers
    1 Safari shooting
    2 Mystery adventures
3 Dinner on balcony at MAG (Ok a bit standard)
    4 Shopping at Walmart :D
5 W/E breakfast at MAG (for the Bloody Mary Bar)

We thought P&T were not very good. They only do about 6-8 "trick" through the show because Penn keeps talking. BTW if they still do the box thing on stage before the show starts I can tell you how it's done:D

I havent seen Penn and Teller live but have seen them on TV, I dont get the attraction, I saw through a few of their tricks on TV

Hiring a speed boat on Lake mead..ok not breathtaking but they are fast (and expensive), and drink fuel as if its going out of fashion, if you open the throttle fully

That sounds cool. Do you take them out on your own? And are you allowed to ski behind them

We thought Mystery Adventures was just OK. It was good what they did and I might have enjoyed it more if hubby had, but his apathy rubbed off on me.

Have seen Penn and Teller twice not because I relly enjoyed it (fell asleep first time!) but because my son wanted to see them.

A little unfair to the show that I fell asleep, it was more to do with just eaten and had a few drinks coupled with a comfy chair and no flashing slot machine infront of me to keep me awake.

Second time seemed very familiar so must have stayed awake first time for some of it! It was just OK for me but son (14) enjoyed it. We didn't get moved seats and we had a coupon for 2 for 1 but that worked out the same as the travelzoo offer, sorry cannot remember how much.

Both Penn and Teller hang around after the show for pics,so got a great pic with my son and the big one (is that Penn or Teller?!)
