VALUE FOR MONEYThanks to Lesley74 and credit_crunch for thier replies.
Firstly I am open to suggestions with regards to the flights- when i went in February I flew direct from Gatwick and I'd probably prefer to go as direct as possible again, doesnt have to be from Gatwick however-- are there direct flights from Scotland? I just dont fancy the messing about with connections, changes etc not to mention the longer flight---however it will all depend on the cost difference!!
I dont have a set month in mind but i quite fancied catching some of the early world series of poker events which start in late may, right through June and into July, I take it this is the most expensive period? I will have a look at the lowcostusa site and see what catches my eye.
Anyone else got some handy advice for me??
Cheers, Dov
There aren't really direct flights from Glasgow (or anywhere else in Scotland) to Vegas (unless mytravel still do it for a couple of weeks in July), however you could fly from Glasgow to Philly and onwards (only in summer) or to Newark all year, and also Edinburgh to Newark and onwards, also all year I think. We usually find that cheaper, however this year it was significantly cheaper to do Gla-Heathrow-LA so we're doing that and driving into Vegas. We're doing a few nights in LA too, although it has never been on my list of places I must see. Could be fun though. :j0 -

No non-stop flights from Scotland. Where in Scotland are you?
There is US Airways from GLA with a connection in the US or BA from any airport with a connection at LHR then non-stop from there.
Or you could go with KLM via Amsterdam and Minneapolis.0 -

SHOWSyou only live once
similar dilemmas, and have been trying to sneak in a trip to take advantage of the easter break at the start of April, but the flight prices are not overly kind (to be expected), and no doubt we'll be looking to go in August so possibly pushing it a bit to be honest
(no free hotels for me though... and the missus has a lavish lifestyle that I struggle to afford
)
You should have 2 free nights at the Orleans if nothing else -TR have no free rooms for me this year for the first time in years although very big reductions in room rates when I look on the rate calendar when logged in.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
SHOWSWell when you do.......... you'll almost certainly get 2 free nights for the next time even with minimal slot play . You'll also save a fortune on food prices there
Cocktail waitresses are also a lot more in evidence than some of the Strip hotels.
(and free wi-fi in Seattle coffee)I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -

Hard to say without knowing the price range.
Have you done a search for other options to see what others fall in the same price range? Certain factors may impact prices for different dates for different hotels...and hard to say if you have gotten a fair price for MC to begin with.
I haven't stayed there, but also depends on what is important to you...we like Ballys which is also a bit plain, others might not.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
after doing some search's myself we got our best price from thomas cook, £2291 for two of us with 10 nights at monte carlo and flights from heathrow via detroit as where staying there on way home for a few days.
i did a quick search on flights and hotel direct and they came up £1800 for flights with delta and £762 for hotel so £2562.0
