Can I ask you all:
1 - what is your one "must do" place to Gamble?
2 - And where is the one place you "have" to go to eat?
Doesn't matter what the costs are etc, just looking to hear your very favourite places!
Tricky question! Personally my favourite gambling in Vegas is 50c/$1 No Limit Texas Hold'em at Bill's. The rake is awful but it's a really fun game a lot of fun characters appear at the tables. It's a great mixture between tourists and locals. Drinks are good, cocktail service is frequent, dealers are nice. I often spend 6 or so hours there at a time.
And the best food I've ever eaten in Vegas (and possibly in my life) is Hussong's in Mandalay Bay. Mexican food to die for.0 -

The question is impossible to answer
If you are a low limit gambler it wont be the high roller room in the Bellagio.
I am more comfortable gambling in any of the lower limit casinos.
Again eating is personal and there are thousands of choices, but assuming you are from the Uk you wont have tried an IN n Out burger, then you really should try one Animal style
Maggie did you read page 1? The ESTA info is on there and there are some eating options inc Ellis island BBQ.
But there are just so many0 -

Hi, I did read page one, managing to avoid any ESTA information though?!
As for the 2 questions, yes it is definitely personal and budget related. But that's why I'm asking everyone what their personal favourite is! I don't like Mexican food, but knowing that Hussang's is the best Mexican food *ever* might sway me to give it a go if I am walking past it and hungry! :T
The Animal at "In and Out" burger sounds amazing!! Definitely going onto my "good" list0 -
got a quote for our trip in september, £2291 for 2of us with 10 nights in las vegas staying in monte carlo then flights to detroit, staying here 4 nights and then back to heathrow.
question is, how good is monte carlo ??0 -

When i go in Oct this year it will be 13 months since my last trip.
I have friends going out in August.
Is there any point in asking them to play a few bucks using mt TR and !!!!!! cards?
Cant get my head round the whole expiry thing.!!!!!!:
Tier Credits expire one year after they are earned. The minimum amount of Tier Credits required to qualify for tier benefits must be maintained on a 12 month basis. Visit the M life Players Club in the casino or mlife.com to view your current Tier Credit balance.
Pointplay - couldn't find detail regarding pointplay expiry
Freeplay - if redeemed from pointplay, expires 18months after redemption
Hurrahs:
Reward Credits are valid as long as at least one (1) Reward Credit is obtained every six (6) months. If no Reward Credits are obtained within a six-month period, the entire Reward Credit account balance will expire.
Wynncore:
Points are valid for 12 months from the date earned. Unused points that exceed 12 months in age will be retired from red card accounts without notice

1. Don't bother gambling unless it's on a work freebie :j
2. El Torito Mexican Restaurant on Boulder Hwy in Henderson - we get takeaway or go to eat there at least once a week.0 -

not sure on mlife, but on TR - it may actually hurt you in the end as they work on a ADT (average daily theoretical loss)...so if you normally play, say, $300, day through the machines...your comp level will be based on that...if someone goes and throws $5 through a machine, it could, in theory, hurt your ADT...and potentially lower what sort of comps they give you.
So depends on how many TR credits you have that will expire before you next go (6 months after you last earned a point = expiry) - if a lot, then maybe you'd prefer to keep them alive...sounds like you won't have any points to save, so don't see it's worth it at all, no gain really.
Only reason to do it is if you had a wodge of points that were going to expire which isn't the case if you haven't been in 13 months.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYsecretmachines wrote: »ferf - ooh i didn't know the executive rooms came with such perks?! how much is it usually to upgrade from a regular double, do you know?
We upgraded our room we just booked - without the upgrade would have been £78 or so including taxes...with the upgrade was £114 I think...worth it to us for £36...once we went and, without meaning to, filled up on nibbles at the lounge in the evening and didn't need to get anything for tea...and no we didn't clear the plates that were out either...it just sort of happened over a bit of time.
Sometimes they offer an upgrade at check-in - think it's usually £29 - or was last time we stayed which was awhile ago...can't remember if it's Hilton or another airport hotel that also includes either wi-fi or movies in the upgrade.

Stunning Executive Lounge available for guests staying on the Executive Floor. Complimentary Continental Breakfast is served between 6.00am and 10.30am. Canap!s and complimentary pre-dinner drinks are available between 6.00pm and 9.00pm. Full use of broadband Internet terminals and light refreshments available throughout the day.
Also says elsewhere there's wireless internet access in the lounge I think...it's not free in the hotel rooms, not sure about the lounge as I haven't tried it before.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
