Hubby has booked for us to have a week in Vegas 12 - 19 September.
I'm really excited and looking at the shows/tours etc. Which sites would people recommend for booking a show (there are so many sites offering tickets0
I definitely want to do a Cirque de Soleil show and at least one other.
Any other tips on shows/tours appreciated. We are upwards of middle age so forget the night clubs but otherwise active
and want to see and do as much as we can in the week.

Have a read of the first page

I dont know if summer of cirque is still on when you go but thats the best for cirque tickets

I'd be really interested to go to Roos N More, but how do people get there? We were'nt planning on hiring a car, so does anyone know if buses/trains run there at all?

    TIA

My advice ...get a car even if its only for a couple of days, much more freedom to explore further afield and its America...no one walks...except in Vegas:D

The worst thing about arriving in terminal 2 for me was always looking through the window as you disembark to the exhausted/broke people waiting for their flights home
i never have time to look for those people :D - too busy dashing for immigration so I can get my feet on some Vegas soil :D

    11. Bought America the Beautiful pass from Ebay ($45) Visited 7 parks Saved $100
Valid for a few more months so may re-sell on Ebay-Open to offers on here for a discount
isn't it only valid for use by two separate people? :) (assuming if it was off ebay it would've been used by one person already, then the other box will be used up for your signature...

...unless you know something I don't? :)

Has anyone actually seen Viva Elvis, and enjoyed it ?
We have never been to any cirque show,as they are not my cup of tea.But as an Elvis fan,and with the fact it's closing at the end of August,we thought we would try it.....Can anyone say something good about it ?
At least I'll enjoy the music.

we thought Viva Elvis was OK - nothing all that exciting, but OK.
some of it is not Elvis recordings, some is sung live (in some cases by women) which upsets some people.

If you can get Summer of Cirque tickets at a decent price, it can't hurt too much to go...it's not a very Cirquey show...not really a good example of what Cirque shows are which for some is a good thing.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

We saw Viva Elvis. Hubby liked it, I was like ferf and just though it was OK. However I don't really like Cirque shows.

If I was going to recommend one it would be Love at the Mirage followed by O at the Bellagio.

I can't really offer any more advice on where to book that isn't already on Page 1. I check Travelzoo.com (not co.uk) every Wednesday when it is updated as that is a very good source for cheaper tickets.

Actual shows, for Cirque Love or O. Then I would recommend the Jersey Boys which is now at Paris. You should be able to get tickets at Tix4Tonight on the day of the show, but not half price, more like 20% off. It is usually on Travelzoo.

Legends in Concert is a typical Vegas show which is closing for good at the end of September and is one of the cheaper shows as you can get 2 for 1 coupons in magazines so about $31-35 per person. It's a tribute show with usually 5 acts. Not everyone's cup of tea though.

The Australians Bee Gees is another good and cheaper show, again on TZ.

Jersey Boys is the best show we have ever seen in Vegas.Legends in concert was good the first time we saw it,but really poor a couple of years later. So a bit hit and miss with that one.We also thoroughly enjoyed Human Nature,Aussies singing Motown, which was very reasonable in price.Think I would pick that over Legends if I was going to go to either one again.
