have to admit i am flying virgin when we go ... dont know whether to start dreading it or be really happy we are flying for free
I wouldn't worry about it, I know i've said it before but in my opinion there is no 'good' way to get to Vegas - they're all boring mundane flights, and there's usually something to moan about, be it:
    - food
    - drink (or lack of :D )
    - other passengers
    - crew
    - in-flight entertainment
    - general comfort / temperature / blankets
    - punctuality
    ... and so on

for us, we'll go with whoever is cheapest... if it was free I'd be on it in a blink of an eye!!! :D

I suspect if we could ever justify spending more (ie. not fly economy), then we'd have more reason to moan but as things stand its just a way of getting there for us :D

We have low expectations of service so it helps (admittedly it doesn't make it right though!)

edit: apologies, what I was trying to say was you could spend £1000+ on an economy seat that leaves tomorrow, but it doesn't mean you'll have the perfect flight, or you could get the same flight for half the price with the same problems. Nothing within your control can guarantee or dictate what happens when that sardine can is in the air.

Would it be overdoing it to go to Vegas for your stag do, and then again for your honeymoon? I'm daydreaming! Just closing my eyes now, I can almost imagine stepping on the escalator outside Bill's..sun pouring over my skin..."one dollar boddla water, one dollar boddla water". Sigh!

It would only be overdoing it if you didnt invite all the stags on here for the stag do ;)

    Peggy Sue's

We stopped there on the way out earlier this month

Mediocre food (gave me the runs!) (Look at Tripadvisor reveiws)

    50's decor.

Stop here to break up the boring journey and to view the Novelty factor.

BTW The temperature that day here was 113 Deg F

Peggy sues is a must stop at least once IMO

The poster stated you can book any show at the Coke bottle-which simply isn't true. Not all the showrooms use it for tickets.

I think the poster was just randomly sharing a useful titbit though :)

Further along the road, back the otherside of the I15 turnoff from Peggy Sues is Pennys diner, a converted railroad car (Sheldon would be excited). Smaller still 50's style, I found both good, Peggy Sue's had loads of the Americana kitsch stuff, it's where I bought my dashboard hula girl. Route 66 tees etc.

Peggys gets my vote if for no other reason than the chocolate malts.

yeah, we've been disrupted to... for us, the noisyness is usually always on our first night when we're all messed about with jetlag anyways :D - makes it all the worse!! *grrr*

in other news, the Cosmopoliton have confirmed its free breakfasts for International Guests until 31st January 2013 :)
    http://www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com/breakfast-on-us.aspx

(which means we'll definitely get it!!! EXCELLENT!) :)

I read that as if you book through that particular package offer you get free breakfast...like the other packages that include something extra...not that it's for all international guests,...though prices seem to be the same as standard rates on their website...but more than the 20% off international guests offer.

So I don't think anyone could really hold them to the free breakfast thing unless booked via the package or having it on your confirmation or email from the hotel...but I know a lot of people have gotten it even when not booked through Cosmo itself...so fingers crossed for everyone (including us in October!) but I agree that it's probably better not to contact the hotel and ask in advance as it could be that it's only meant for those booking through the package but somehow it's being applied to more reservations than it's meant to...so maybe better to keep quiet and if it's not mentioned on check-in, then maybe ask...that's what we'll do. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
