Just found a good deal for Paris. We are going August and 10 nights with their "plan ahead and save" promo averages $91 a night and no resort fee.
Scrub that, just found by looking through all the deals in TR that I can get that for $71 a night
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Heathrow terminal 4 - flight departure 9.05a.m. on a thursday. What time do I need to get there by?

Heathrow website suggests 3 hours before. Read some had problems with security recently at East Midlands airport.

I was planning on getting there around 7.00 a.m, but given the above should I be looking to get there earlier?

I just dont understand people who choose to ignore the guidelines.

Why would you not get there 3 hours before? then (hopefully) relax in the airport before boarding as opposed to stressing and hoping that you get through security on time etc etc.

By all means get there for 7 but dont complain if you miss the flight.

lastly sorry for being so blunt

Can't think what TR stands for - do you mind sharing, so I can check for deals?

Perhaps because the airline said 2 hours.... rom KLM website
Departure from Recommended check-in time before departure Check-in closing time before scheduled departure*

    London Heathrow
    2 hours
    40 minutes
It was only the East Midlands thread that made me ask these kind generous hearted souls on here.

Why the airport and the airline want to issue different guidelines, I don't know.

TR= Total Rewards account. If you haven't signed up for a card while in Vegas (don't know if you can sign up online) you will not be able to access the deals.

Because the airline and the airport don't talk to each other, it's a minefield out there. It was me that brought up the problems at EMA where we nearly missed our flight and 10 people did because Ryanair said get there 2 hours before, but the airport advised 3 hours.

I guess the airline are saying it could take up to 2 hours to check in etc, and the airport are saying it could take up to 3 hours.

If it was me I would be getting there early rather than late but Its up to you and what you feel comfortable with, Even if everyone on here told me that 2 hours is adequate I would still get there earlier
