"Can I use my Starbucks Card when I travel internationally?

Starbucks Cards activated in any of the participating countries can be used to make purchases and be reloaded in any other participating country. Starbucks Cards must first be activated by loading money onto the card in the country of purchase before being used internationally. The participating countries are; UK, USA, Canada, Thailand, Australia, Hong Kong, Mexico, and the Republic of Ireland."

Thank You. Looks like I will have to top it up when we get there if I want to use it.

In what is the tipping capital of the world,do you tip at a vegas buffet and if so is it still 20%,when your plates are cleaned away, asking as this is my first trip and i presume you pay on entry.

I dont tip 20% at a buffet. Yes you pay on entry, your server will get you drinks and refills and take plates away (usually) but everything else is down to you. If I get a decent server I usually leave a couple of $1s on the table

You can't even use a Starbucks card in all the U.K. outlets, such as petrol stations and motorway service stations, so why do you think all casinos and the like in the U.S. are going to take them. I wouldn't bother, just pay in cash.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

NYNY definately dont accept starbucks cards in their starbucks.
Im sure most of the others will be the same.

Its like trying to use burger king offers at some london stores or at railway stations, most wont accept them.

    Cash will be fine tho......

I took my Starbucks card with me in March and used it in various different outlets (The one in Mirage, Harrahs, TI etc) without any problems. It had £20 on which converted to $32. If you go to the USA Starbucks site and log into your account it will tell you how many $$ you have on your card.

Depending on service I tip a dollar or two per person at the table.

Ditto - though if we have got the buffet comped or a significant discount we'll usually tip $5 for the 2 of us.

If they clear our plates reasonably quickly and refill our drinks reasonably quickly, that's all we ask for...it annoys me to death to be sat with an empty glass though...
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Those that have been to Absinthe can anyone advise the cheapest place to get tickets?

They are around $90 from the box office but I seem to remember reading somewhere that you can get a discount.

Re tipping at buffets , normally we leave $2 - $5 for the 2 of us depending on service , but this year we are going to Ballys sterling buffet , $85 plus tax plus tip , it is a buffet but seemingly the staff are excellent what would you tip .

The TIX offices around LV are likely to have some and people on here might be able to direct you to some codes for other outlets. We nearly went for Absinthe and I recall the tickets for a Tuesday evening were around $70. It is a very small (by LV standards) venue - a big top - so every seat should be fine. We bought on the day as we didn't want to pre-plan too much in the event we were tired and/or found something else to do on that date. Enjoy.
