The Riviera is to undergo a $20 million renovation. Not before time.

Good, it's a bit manky. We stayed there in 2004, and it was just, eewww. The smell stayed with me for a long time.

I've had to to Riviera a couple of times for football-related purposes, it's not very nice. It's just way too far north for my liking as well.

I see good ol Rod Stewart is playing when I go but my sister doesn't want to spend good gambling/drinking/shopping money on the $185 ticket, is that the sort of ticket you can try and get cheaper when your there? I would love to go, although I was holding out for Bazza Manilow too ;-)

Is that the most expensive tickets you are looking at? I'm sure there are tickets a lot less than that.

I know that last time he was performing, the cheapest tickets were available at Tix4Tonight.

Some hotels have better rates than others, but it could mean a lot of traipsing around to find them.

I believe the Imperial Palace had some of the best rates.

We have never changed sterling in Vegas preferring to withdraw from the ATM's. I withdrew $800 a couple of days ago and it cost £495 using a Halifax Clarity card.

    VALUE FOR MONEY
Rod Stewart. We got tickets from Caesars box office. They were $69 + tax for 1st mezzanine seats. There might be a small discount using your TR card.

Exchanging sterling. Cosmo has had the best rate that we have found. It is usually 5c less than the XE currency rate. IP is a close second and has never been more than 7c less than XE.

I had only looked at 1 website which stated they were starting from $185 but have gone on to Ceasers Palace website and it shows they start from $49, sounds much better to me haha, thank you.
