Its a while sice i have booked with Virgin but when I have been with them I have booked as soon as the flights have been released and have always got a good price compared with leaving it later.

My advice would be if you see the flight at the price you are happy with then book it

I booked with Virgin just before Xmas, I did miles + money so 493GBP + 2000 miles which I was really pleased with. For the same dates it is now 880 + 2000 miles, so a big difference (aug 9th from man).

I know the golden rule is to not check how much they are once you've booked but a few others are joining us that weren't able to book at the time but now can......

It was a bit strange as they then had the sale and they were more expensive then. I had been keeping an eye on prices and had not and have not seen them that low.

We have got 2 x 1 bed terrace suites booked at the moment.

I know they have two bed suites, do these cost more than double the price of 1 bed suites - if we ask are they likely to 'merge' our booking to get a 2 bed (if it's better).

Do Cosmo have 3 bedroom suites?

Another friend may be joining us, so will be booking another room/ suite too.

The website will show you room types and floor plans.

I'm not sure they have 2 bed suites unless they arent listed....

They have a wraparound terrace suite that will sleep 4 but is still only 1 bedroom and a lanai suite but again only 1 bedroom.

You can get a 1 bed terrace with connecting door to a wraparound.

I would probably send an email and ask.

Buying a ring on the Strip where rents are high is probably not the most moneysaving place to buy it. Bit like buying in Oxford Street.

Hmmm, wondering if a pawn shop might be the answer, do tourists get the equivalent of vat back, like they do in the UK?

no, not generally...some shops do a visitor discount card (Macy's for example, 11%) but I don't think the discount is good on jewelery...I think there's one state that has some sort of sales tax exemption.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
