MGM Grand has loads of places to eat that arent fancy or expensive. You could cross the bridge to NYNY that has more. Or walk 5 mins to PH/Miracle Mile for loads more.illegitimi non carborundum0

We stayed at MGm on our last strip & there is a food court area with a noodle bar, piza place, mc D's & Starbucks. Plus they have normal restaurants too.
I've just found a price for the 2nd half of our trip. 11th sept 5 night Cosmopolitan 1 bed terrace for £707
Best price I've seen so far & would keep us pretty much within our £1000 hotel budget (first 5 nights are NY NY)0 -
thanks for your replies, we won the holiday and have not got much spending money so want to do it as cheap as possible. we have £500 maybe up to £700 for 2a 1c for 5 days/nights and would like to do 1 show that my little girl would love.
I did look up on holidaytruths but cannot seem to get on there atm. someone mentioned a place with dolphins in one of the hotels that is quite hidden at the back. any ideas?
thanks xx0 -

Where did you find that offer? I know someone looking for a hotel for November and have suggested the Cosmo.0 -
The Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat is at the Mirage

There is a Wildlife habitat which is free is at the back of the Flamingo hotel. They used to have African penguins, but they were moved out a few years ago.

Hi Luci
It's on low cost USA.
I've been checking it every few days over the month or so. I've just double checked &!its actually £632 for a terrace studio if you pay in full
Is it only the city room tht has 2 queen beds? I would prefer just 1 king bed.0 -

Consider taking the free shuttle from Bills (next to the Flamingo) to the Orleans which is less than ten minutes and you'll find food prices there very good. Their buffet whilst not as flash as some of the expensive Strip ones is very good. Prices are $7.99 for breakfast $8.99 for lunch and dinner is $13.99 on normal nights-under 3s are free over 3's $3 off and include soft drinks/tea/coffee. I often make this my main meal of the day eating at 9 or 10 am and often don't want anything more til evening. They also have a nice food court, TGI Fridays and a cafe which are all reasonable . As it's off Strip prices are better and quality good-there's also a (paying ) creche which is reasonably priced . In the evening they often have a pop band playing with a dance area which is popular with families just off the casino floor. Shuttle runs from 9am til midnight every 15-20 mins. They also have a reasonably priced cinema and a 90 lane bowling alley. http://www.orleanscasino.com/
Here's the Dolphin info http://www.vegas.com/attractions/on_the_strip/secretgarden.html
Circus Circus often has...er..Circus acts for free and another vote for the Flamingos, ducks and koi at the Flamingo. I've bought lunch from their food court just off the casino and eaten it outside watching the flamingos.
Shows in Vegas are expensive not sure it'd work with your budget tbh but this might be useful http://govegas.about.com/od/shows/tp/kidshowsinvegas.htm
I've not seen it but the Town Square outlet (take the Deuce bus) has -this.....Not only will you find a variety of retail shops, your kids can release all their energy at the 13,000-square-foot children's park. The park features a garden maze, a tree house and sprinklers ideal for warmer months. Nearby, you'll find snack kiosks, as well as a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in case you need a pick-me-up. If you're ready to kick back and relax, the picnic area is ideal for that. During the summer, enjoy outdoor movie nights and live performances.
Google for the free shuttles between hotels -some days it may save you the cost of a day pass on the deuce -although a five year old might enjoy a trip the length of the monorail too.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

From MGM, cross the strip, past NYNY, down Tropicana, then right at Dean Martin, and there an In n Out burger. I guess its about half a mile, although Ive never done it on foot (does Trop have a pavement???).
Google their secret menu, then have some fun ordering from it. A 3 x 3 Animal style is the best burger in Vegas IMHO.....and you can eat for less then a fiver each there.
Also as said before, rear of MGM, on way to Signature, near the CSI, theres a food court, with some cheap takeaways (Pizza, Macs, Hotdog from memory).illegitimi non carborundum0
