Have spent all day making stuff for our homeless ones' meal tomorrow - turkey and ham pies, cauliflower cheese, trifles etc. Sounds not too bad but when it's enough for 30...:eek::eek:
The Rev gone off to a raucous party tonight. I was invited but am just too tired So sent her off with some HM sausage rolls and a couple of bottles.
When I sign off here I am going to bed and I'm sure 2012 will be able to start without me.

Finished the Church Mag at 1.30 this morning, why do I leave it till the last minute every month? Come to that , why do I leave EVERYTHING till the last minute?

NPM: Glad to hear from you again. I've a friend whose DS has always had a Santa Claus phobia. As she says, at this time of the year the wretched man is everywhere, so I quite understand where Noah is coming from. What is exciting to most children is very worrying for him.

Lou: Understand your puzzlement. Just about the last thing this house needs is lumps of coal added to the chaos.

I'm joining all those who are trying to lose weight. I can't start yet 'cos we have visitors until next Sunday, but just wait till the 9th! The first thing is to give up sugar in my coffee - that should shift a pound or two. Am not going to get too obsessed because I won't keep it up, and any forbidden food becomes unbelievably tempting. Baby steps! The amount of tins of sweets and biscuits given to us by lovely parishoners is amazing. I am sick of them, ( the sweets etc. not the parishoners. Well, not all of them.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My bed calls. Happy New Year.:D

    Evening All,
I seldom post but I do have to read everyday, feel like I am missing something if I don't.
I love reading how everyone is doing, look for the regular postings of HH, JackieO, BargainBird, Bitsy, JackieG, MeanMarie, and the list goes on and on. Although not posting on the daily I have been regularly in contact with the ladies on FB and have a ball some evenings - you know who you are..lol.
For 2012 I look forward to hearing JG's news and the arrival of baby Roo, Beth, I have said some prayers for you, hoping you have good news in January, Bramble, you too hun, I know how it is to lose your Grandad, mine was a gem and it broke my my heart, but he is close, even after all these years, Flutterby, age is just a number, if you like him, what the hell, go for it. Lou, chin up hun, we are here for you, one day at at time, one step after the other. NPM, Noah is a gorgeous, special little boy, treasure him, whatever the challenges, you will be able to cope, I have no doubts about that. As for everyone else well, there are just too many to mention here, so hugs and high fives to anyone who needs or wants one.

Anyways, here's hoping 2012 brings us all that we are expecting for the coming year, goodbye to 2011 which I know has been rough on most of us, but suffice to say you lot have been an inspiration to me, I have learnt so much, made so many friends, and feel now like I have the strength and determination to keep going, whatever is thrown at me. Happy New Year to you all, I thank you all so much for being my friend and for being there when I need you - Happy New Year!
Cait, at long last signing on:rotfl:

  • Don't post in here, but read every day, and have done so for many years, trying to think of the names of the posters who I don't see today, Moggins, MrsTicklemouse, CurryQueen, Maths, snowy owl, the lady from Australia who came over and visited Snowy and helped build a wardrobe, She had her own house built, can't recall her name, must be the whisky!:D

Anyway, I wish the old posters and the new ones a very Happy New Year, may it bring you peace, wealth and Happiness.

I've just come on to check something. :D I'm such a sticky beak. Yes, CM son is amazing. I suppose having to keep an eye on his mother has kept him in good stead in his line of profession. :p Hope he have a restful day tomorrow.

Thank you for remembering me Merlot. I do lurk but don't post as much. I keep meaning too but got out the habit of it. We are still in our little house on the island.

I hope you all have a wonderful year next year, especially to those that had a pants one in 2011.

    Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
