Morning everyone,
We have some friends coming round for lunch today that we only see once a year so that should be good.
This evening we are off to a party at a neighbours house but honestly I would rather be in watching the telly! DD1 got a box set of Downton Abbey for Christmas and we are working our way through them.
Got to fetch DD2 from yet another sleepover soon, she is always out that girl, quite a change from DS who is often in and worries me terribly.
Have a lovely day everyone and Happy New Year.:)0 -

hester the box idea is lovely. my friend is also in afghanistan(over christmas
) and he's had a few boxes from friends and fam- mostly cereal bars!
I'm not feeling the new year thing either. I was considering going into central with my housemates but it turns out they are going to drink on the streets in the crowds and watch fireworks as they probably won't be able to get in anywhere. Well noisy fireworks, drunk crowds, not being able to go for a wee, rain and getting pick pocketed is not my idea of fun!
I think I'm coming down with a cold, or will be in the next few days. I've been exposed to new germs all week and spent 4 hours in the car with my coughing dad yesterday, and now OH has new germs too! I'm drinking faux-berocca and will do some steam inhalation in a mo. I'm going to market for veg soon, will check out a few sales here for presents (lots of b'days in feb), do a bit of university work later.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

I completely forgot about my reduced turkey that was defrosting in the microwave! Now cooking in the oven so aside from the fact that I am not washed or dressed yet we won't be going anywhere for a while..........I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

I have always pretended to be ill when younger to avoid going out etc....mind you I do that anyway so that may be AS related lol
Not been on here all Xmas, having rough time with Noah as he doesn`t cope with xmas at all so just holed up in the house all the time....cannot wait till Tues for things to go back to normal;)0 -

Morning All,
Bramble just read about your grandad so sorry for your loss
NMP nice to see you posting. A lot of us don't like the Christmas upheaval, hope Noah settles soon.
A cleaning day for me as well today. We always clean on Saturday anyway but today will include putting away the decorations and labelling them Box No 1 ready for shipping to Oz.
I agree about celebrating New Year but we will be at friends having food and drink and generally having a laugh, but we often do that on a Saturday. Our youngest will be with us and the oldest has tickets for some expensive club where the drinks no doubt will be a fortune, ah well he will learn:cool:
I like January because it feels like a fresh start, and I always like my house feeling clean and tidy, it gives me peace of mind, its not always achieved but when it is I love it:A
DS2 met a new girl over Christmas so won't see much of him for now, you never know this one might stick:D
Big cooked breakfast this morning and DH is having pork chops as they are leftovers and don't want to throw them away, he's learning:p then just a snack this afternoon and then a curry at friends. Will take hm Victoria sponge with fresh cream and chocolate brownies.
Trying to find a diary A4 size but they were so expensive in town ysterday so will hang on until they are more reasonable
Flutterbyuk how was the date :kisses2:
Happy New Year to all you lovely O'sers_party_ have a good evening whatever your up to JStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
