WOW, Haven't been on since the weekend and the pages have literally DOUBLED! Thanks to all those with the dietry advise back on page 20, it's appreciated.

:jWell, I've finally managed it - I've cleared our Bank Loan 13 months early, freeing up over £260 pcm in the process :j Can't believe it stayed intact in the bank over Christmas tbh!

so... I've paid £3205.62 so far this month taking my total to

    #93 4010.62/20120.00 19.93%:T:j

That was however my swan song so it'll be back to slow and steady after this month, I'm hoping for £1000 a month off the cards plus maybe a little boost every now and then if I can afford it which means I should beat my target of £15,000.

Don't know when I'll manage to catch up with the posts so hugs to those who need them and congrats to all those who've managed payments....also welcome to all our newbies (of which I'm sure they'll be many)

Well done hun, that's fantastic paying all that off! What an amazing feeling!!! xxx

  • Oooh I forgot I paid £75 off the mortgage arrears too! Whoop!

    :( Trying hard...failing miserably :(
  • Ok then guys, I need some advice from you all.

I have just started a new contract for my phone and have now got an iphone 4s. Previous to this I i had the 3gs and sent this off recently to Mazuma and that cash helped me thru december and xmas.

My brother has offered to buy my 4s off me for £500!

Now I love my new phone, but my idea is to sell the phone to him, buy a 2nd hand ihpone 3gs for around £100 and use the rest of the cash to 1. get me thru the rest of this month, 2. pay off more of my debt.

Question is what do I do?

I feel like i should sell it and downgrade to the 3gs as i should be making these sacrifices to become debt free.

Help and your advice needed guys?

    Thanks

Well done Jemma (mf0u1098) I see Martin has put you on the weekly newsletter, as one of the forum threads making a difference to people trying to save money.

I for one I'm so pleased this thread was created and if it wasn't for Jemma I'd probably be still spending on my CC instead I'm paying money off my CC. Thanks for your thread and support Jemma and well done on keeping this thread going.

Thank you for this lovely post gemred :A. Whilst it's nice being in the weekly newsletter, I will be infinitely prouder when we're all skipping over the finish line together, all friends DEBT FREE!!!! I cannot wait hun xxx

My new total is £942.65/£7,873.87 for #130. Nearly paid off £1k which I am mega happy about, but then on the other hand I keep thinking if I wasnt in debt that could be going in my New House savings account.
