It's fantastic news isn't it, being in the newsletter!!!!

Yesterday I took my mum to Asd@ and got her to pay for everything as I've spent about £170 in the last 2 weeks on food for the family grrrrrrrr... Got some great treats for myself though!

Had some good news today, my dad has got the job he has been after for the past year (waiting for someone to emigrate before he could get the job and there were delays). Anyway, he's completely over the moon!!! My parents also spoke to our accountant (they had money tied up in an investment and long story but they've not been able to access it for the past 4years) but today they've been told that they should get their money back in a few months!!! Thank goodness for this as it's just got rid of both of my dad's main worries!!!

Anyhow, I'm going to start from Mondays last posts and update so a big welcome to our lovely new members and well done to all our debt busters!!!

p.s. Suzitiger - you make me giggle...! Glad you're back hun xxx

Hahaha suzitiger you do make me laugh :-) nice to see you back, it's been so quiet without you honest

Great news on being in the newsletter, Jemma you're fab :-)

Housemate got engaged today which is a bit mad as she's only be seeing him 5 minutes, but apparently she met him years ago. We're making veggie curry between us atm and they keep snogging!

No payments today, haven't had five minutes to check accounts to see where I can slim something from.

I called Halifax... I've got no chance! Unless you can prove you have no money they can't do anything... they basically told me I need to watch what I am spending and then pay them... :( worth a try but just gotta realise there's no easy way out of debt! xxx

    Hi rdchick.

I had the same issue and moved my account to santander. I had to move the DD manually which is a bit of a pain but worth it long term. Then I set a standing order into the old account. If you paying money in every month they cant really do anything (as long as its not an account with a minimum monthly pay in )

Ive actually kept the account at a zero balance now and they still keep the overdraft available so occasionally in the past have used it for short term emergencies then set the standing order back up.
