Morning all,
Hope everyone's enjoying the spring...don't get comfortable it only lasts a week!
As we approach the end of Q1 (work terminology on the brain) I've withdrawn a little more profit from my freelancing work paypal...so at the end of the third month, I'll be over 30%! It's still the long haul, but looking less long as time goes by.
I've got a sharesave scheme maturing in the summer, which means at least one of my loans should be gone, and I'll be well on my way to tackling the other too.
Anyone planning to sink a bottle or two this Christmas? :beer:DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

Wish I was Superheavy, but I dont drink :rotfl: maybe i'll have a large mug of tea
Im so at a loss today  Ive just dropped Miss Lily at nursery for her first 'school' trip  I know she'll have a great time but . . . . well Im soooooooooo not ready for this
Im also off to the doctors today as after a week of earache and broken sleep I cant deal with it anymore, I must have sounded in pain this morning as the receptionist gave me an appointment for this morning with only the obligatory 'is it urgent?', I think my tear filled, gritted teeth response of 'please I dont care who, any doctor!' told her I might really be in painIts actually not as bad when Im sat up (maybe its the tablets are working) its when I go to bed, as soon as I lie down its agony
so lots of broken sleep from waking every time I roll over

Welcome to the newbies
Hope you feel better soon Jakes-Mum, I'm so glad I'm not in pain with my ears, nothing worse!
Antonia, hugs
Well done to anyone who has paid off a debt or done some mega paying off!
Unfortunately, I've come to the decision that I think I have no choice but to leave work. It would be very stupid financially to hold out and hold out until the doctors fix me (someone recommend aloe vera drops yesterday, apparently they work wonders?) and then I still can't fly. So, I'm going into work tomorrow to tell themHave to send my cv today to a recruitment company who have been expecting it since Thursday last week!

I use aloe vera gel for my very specific form of psoriasis (its gross you don't want to know) and it does help quite a bit.

Hi all from a very sunny Devon, hope the better weather will cheer us all up for a while.
Jakes-mum, ouch, good luck at the doctors.
Kerri, thanks for the link, I'll have a look at that later on.
Psychopathbabble, that sounds totally stressful. Hope it all works out ok for you.
Well, our finances have been :eek::eek: this month! It's funny isn't it, when you start being good you expect to see more money in your account! Sadly we are both self employed and the economy just isn't helping at the moment. DH has managed to get 2 extra saturdays a month, hour's commute, yikes. Still, needs must.
Checked the bank account this morning and lo and behold, child benefit. So that's another £134.80 to the credit card, which brings me to £1894.74/£6109.94. Thank goodness, I was getting so desperate to make a payment I even considered using the £100 I got at Christmas (it is safely tucked away for the day I decide I HAVE TO SPEND MONEY ON CLOTHES. So far I have stayed out of clothes shops for 3 months and have bought the kids summer clothes on ebay!).
Have a good Tuesday everyone!:DMake £2020 in 2020 £178.81/£2020

She was bursting this morning I have to say, it may have been the fact they have to take a bus that made it soooo exciting as shes only been on one twice. So mum was left feeling like a spare part :rotfl:

I really hoped it was an ear infection and that it would go away of its own accord, but though the Dr thinks it IS an infection its decided its not going anywhere and she couldnt really tell because of (her words) 'all the wax'. Which I know is gross, but everytime I try to clean them I get . . . . chronic earache, and when I told her this she said 'well the ear, nose and throat people say dont stick anything smaller than your own elbow in your ear as you can cause major damage'. So its olive oil in the ear tomorrow and leave it alone.
She has given me antibiotics though and if it doesnt start clearing in a few days its back to see her again as its more likely to be an infection of the bone rather than of the ear
Anyway, enough about me, so sorry about your job, but a new start, new life and you my find something you love just as much or more :T
Jakes-mum, ouch, good luck at the doctors.
Ah ty, hopefully it will bu**er off now I have the antibiotics, unfortunately (for them) the Jahovahs witnesses decided to knock my door this morning, normally im polite and decine their leaflet with a 'no thank you, im not religious' but after a week of broken sleep and pain, they got a short 'no, bu**er off' and a door in their faces. Word to the wise people, jakesmum does not do well with no sleep

I know that feeling about lack of sleep! husband says I'm like the cracked if I haven't slept well!
Hopefully the antibiotics clear it! I've been off my meds lately and been crippled. As a result ended up in so much pain had to concede defeat despite the stomach ache I'm getting with them!0
