Thanks
Had I not bought my bed I could have added an extra £1200 to that
but I really need the bed and I wanted to go for one that would last me into my old age
There's always freecycle, there's loads of sofas on thereThen you can save up for your perfect suite
Just chuck a throw over it if you don't like the colour. CHAPS isn't worth it, they take enough money from us as it is.
The one I've seen is £600, parents are giving us half that so I don't think £300 is too bad when a lot of our other things have been second hand or freebies (I'm getting 2 ikea comfy chairs from a family friend and had loads of other stuff from people)
I'm taking no credit out to pay for anything so I'm pretty happy right now, going to keep it that way.HSBC CC - £3000 / £3000

Surely this is not right! Entitlement to JSA is on an individual basis - dependant on your NI contributions and it shouldn't matter if you work or how many hours you work.
I was claiming JSA last year, and my husband had a full time job - they never asked any questions regarding him.
Maybe its changed? Had to take MY last 3 payslips and the guy said if i worked 1 hour over 24 JSA would be stopped immediatleyDebt to be cleared by crimbo 2012 £8241

Well , after my boss calling me a scruffy g!t last Friday for wearing jeans to work (like every Friday before that and he does too!) I have worn my skirt suit which I have only ever worn at my interview which was 4 yrs ago...
I have had various comments (a few a bit risque to be honest ) but the following is my favourite:
"wow you've got legs!" How observant!!! He definitely gets the gold star...
I work on a site with 83 people, only 4 who are female so was expecting some sort of a response but didn't think so many people would be convinced that I'm off for an interview later! You should have seen the shock on my bosses face... :rotfl:
p.s. my appraisal is next Thursday so it should be fun...New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

Hi everyone
Glad to see the debt busting is going well, but sorry to hear about all the trouble with cars and jobs:(
I haven't been too well, but hey whats new:rotfl: just adjusting to new medications and new doses, might even find something that works on the pain one day!:p
Have managed to do a bit of debt busting though so my new total is

ps I would love to join in with the weight loss challenge but I think it might be cheating 'cos I'm doing a vlcd at the moment:D0 -
Just popped out to get cheese, yoghurt, and bread. Went in 4 different SMs and huffed at all the prices, refused to pay what they were expecting and came home with bread & cheese, no yoghurt! That'll teach them. Cheese was a super deal though
mmm cheese on toast later mmm mmm mmm

3 months running had to argue this back. So change of plans to avoid any more they are the first card I am paying off. I know it breaks the cardinal sin but I am fed up of arguing the case every month with these eejits!0
