    Hi everybody :j

I have been looking at our debt today and have decided that I'm going to approach it differently. We have had to pay for quite a few things on the credit card for our wedding recently which has really affected our totals. Sooooooo I'm going to keep track separately of wedding stuff and only track the debt that we had when we started this challenge then will tackle the wedding debt next year (which won't be quite as high as this year!) This makes it seem much more manageable and has inspired me to do more to bust this debt!

Can you please update me mfou :)

Good news for me is that he has agreed £150 rent pm so I can put this on my debts and definitely make the monthly payments i need without selling every stick of furniture :j
I am going to take my house off the market for a while and relax for a bit. We have all been far too stressed for the last year.

What fab news just before the weekend! God, I hate having the house up for sale, it's so unsettling and you have to be so bloomin' tidy!

Well, husband has finally been paid the extra we were expecting to get this time last week, so we now have enough in the current account to cover all dds, petrol and grocery shops. So any extra that comes in can go towards tax savings and debt clearance. So hopefully I'll be changing my signature soon!

    Have a lovely weekend everyone.:D

  • Hooray Hooray Hooray :j we've paid our final car loan payment so although I didn't include that in our debt figure for this challenge as I knew it would be finished by April, it means that the monthly amount we were paying for that can now be put towards this challenge! Not only that but we received some cashback from the loan of £342 :T which I didn't even know about (just shows how little I was managing my finances before I started this challenge :o). So that's gone towards our debt payments, meaning that FD credit card is now paid off and we had been paying 19.99% APR on that one, and some of our overdraft, which we pay a small % on. Our other CCs are on 0% interest. So that means:

    #278 £822/£4515

This will be the first time we have not had a car loan since we got married 21 years ago :j.

As much as I hate starting, having a good spring clean is very therapeutic! Good work on the vouchers too :T

Took car in for a service and its being kept there as it's not safe to drive!!! Something wrong with the gearbox, and I did ask them to check it, but didn't expect them to keep it whilst the part was ordered! and its had new tyres and a major service. So dreading the bill...... feeling down now... oh well off to ebay some more carp x
