I know it's nothing to do with debt busting but I keep checking the live updates on the 100mile run and my friend has so far done 38miles in 6hrs 12mins!!! I've just done 2 hours of exercise and my thighs are burning... This guy is superhuman! And he's currently 24th out of 300 participants. I am soooooo impressed...New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

You're telling me! He can also drink like a fish! We once (many years ago) went to the pub and I tried to match him drink for drink. Apparently we got to 14 pints each and I was in complete state (not pretty at all...). The next day he ran a very hilly half marathon in 1hr 36mins... This guy is NOT HUMAN!!!!
Ooooh he's currently in 21st place now with about 60miles to go... COME ON ALEX!!!New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

I know, he's amazing isn't he! Oz is going to a completely different kettle of fish for him though with the outback and heat. I hope he has a good support crew.
These people just go to show us what is possible if we don't let our heads rule our bodies by fear... We can achieve ANYTHING with the right mental attitude! :TNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

Jakes -mum I feel your pain! My littlest one has just started walking at 12 months and as excited as I am
I am also thinking, oh no another pair of shoes to buy as he is number six:eek::rotfl:
I don't know why but I have come over all extra motivated about debt busting this weekend, hope it lasts:money::D0 -
I too feel your pain Jakes Mum. I was all excited yesterday because DS's piano lesson was cancelled (saving £10) AND he found the football boots that he lost a couple of months ago saving me the cost of replacing them.
BUT he then announces that he needs a haircut (£7) & when I look at the boots they are a size 7 so very obviously not his (he is a 4). He had already given the loan boots back, and has been cross country running today so I imagine his lovely white trainers will come home less than white.
DD has gone to a party with money in a card for the birthday girl so all in all I am £7 down on the day, and I still need to buy a new pair of football boots

297 days to go, i work mine out to be £38 a day + interest....roll on being debt free anyway. Day watching football then night in at gfs tonight...cheap and cheerful weekend for me. Gym and cleaning car out tomorrow. Keeping busy is what keeps spending at bay.
Mine is £48.69 per day  Thats a scary amount:(

Bloomin kids and their expense  Miss Lily is now begging me to let her sleep in her new shoes  Now I KNOW that this is her dads genes as its a family story about when he was a child everytime he got new shoes he would sleep in them for 2 weeks so that no-one would nick them :rotfl::rotfl:
Jake also needs a haircut tomorrow, if I dont take him soon i'll be able to turn him upside down and use him as a bog brush . . . hmm on second thoughts  :rotfl:
Im not looking forward to september as Jake starts secondary school and Lily starts primary school so Ive got 2 uniforms, 2 sets of proper school shoes, football boots and trainers for Jake, school gym kit for Jake and new school bags for both :eek:

eeek! hope you manage to find lots of bargains to help:) I'm hoping my uniform bill won't be toooo bad, number 5 is starting primary school but the other four have had new stuff as and when needed so I shouldn't have too much to get (famous last words:p)
I have to say one area we do manage to save on is hair cuts,we have 5 boys and 1 girl so my husband sorts all the boys out with clippers, we've got some that go up to a grade 12 so they don't have it shaved short lol, and the girl child likes her hair really long so needs cutting rarely. Our two teenage boys did think about starting to have it done at a barbers but they changed their minds when we told them it would have to come out of their pocket money/clothes allowance;)0
