Hi Kerri, the CK bed covers are about £45-50 so £24 or £12 is a bargain, you've now got me thinking to see if I could try making one myself :j Might have to visit a few shops at the weekend looking at fabric. The CK website also has the fabric on sale 1 metre for £10. Have fun making your duvet.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

WEBITHA That's fantastic news, well done
I've already got a chicken casserole in the slow cooker :A although I may have to buy some potatoes to go with it...unless I can rescue the sprouted ones at the bottom of the fridge:D I was however very naughty last night due to being shattered and went to the chippy so that's another £6 on my food spend taking me up to £18 :embarasse so don't think I'll be anywhere near winning this weeks challenge!
Quick question, I haven't joined the weigh loss challenge but I am carb sensitive which means trying to stay away from them, I'm really struggling with my evening meal though because I feel like I've got a complete (the filling part) group missing! What would you have to go with the casserole I'm cooking obviously potatoes are not ideal nor rice or pasta?
The weather is really horrid here and I've been out this morning to find we've lost a ten foot tree to the gales - yet my falling down fence is fine
you could try mashing veg, like swede or celeriac, or just have more veg with it.DMP 2021-2024: £30,668 £0 🥳

Kerri - I Might visit JL this weekend, the OH will be pleased :-)
Jakes Mum - My husband is the same, he never looks at the bank and would happily keep on spending till the card said no. Hence why we have so much debt from buying stupid things/cars/holidays it was like keeping up with the Jones haha. He's better now though as he realises if we are to have a baby we couldn't carry on that way. I always tell little white lie's and say we are close to the overdraft, when we actually aren't :-)I will stop spending on things I don't need

Can you eat sweet potato? I'm not sure if it's considered a carb or notI just know a lot of my friends who follow SW and WW diets tend to eat them instead of potatoes.

Does anyone know the average hip size for someone 5ft 5? I can't tell if my hip bone has grown, or whether I need to tone up a bit =/ My mother is no use, she's always been on a diet and has a big backside, my sister is petite but has my mothers bum, and there's no point asking my Dad although I have hisDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Morning all!
jakes mum - hope you're feeling a little calmer now. I understand your frustration, I had a friend who shut herself from the world every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4pm when she got home from work to play an online game. Her lbm came when she actually left a friend's wake early to go home to play and we all completely blanked her for about a month
Some of you sound very handy with sewing machines, so jealous! I've tried a few times (though granted it was my nan's old un-electric one and I was about 12yrs old) never managed to get the hang of knitting or crochetting either.

My sort-of-mum is on a carb-free diet and she doesn't really replace carbs, she just has a bit more of whatever she is eating. Once she got used to it, she found she felt a lot better and didn't miss them. Try more protein as that is meant to fill you up?Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

Morning all - a NSD for me yesterday, and I expect another one today. Lunch is brought in from home - baked potato and beans. I'm particularly happy as the potato is from a big bag I got working on the farm over the Christmas break. They may not pay much cash, but I did get the car fixed, a new tyre, a bag of potatoes and some leeks for free, which really makes a difference!
Jakes-mum - that sounds so frustrating. Its like everything you do is focussed on being debt-free, but he doesn't see the importance of it. My parents had a similar problem, and it didn't get fixed until I went to uni and dad realised that he couldn't afford to help me out at all because of the interest on the credit cards. (Not that I was expecting any help, btw, and I never moaned to them because it was my choice to go to uni.)
As for computer games, I get very obsessed also. I have to set a timer so that I'm never playing on any game for longer than 1 hour, and only allow myself one session on weeknights and 2 sessions on weekends. Any more than that and I start to get really anxious and quite aggressive.
I am absolutely loving this week's challenge, and I'm quite tempted to see how long I can keep it going for. I also got a fresh stock of toiletries from father christmas (I know, I'm 26, but mum says I have to have santa cos I'm there on Christmas morning) so I shouldn't need any more shampoo, shower get etc for ages.:A If saving money is wrong, I don't want to be right.
