WEBITHA That's fantastic news, well done
I've already got a chicken casserole in the slow cooker :A although I may have to buy some potatoes to go with it...unless I can rescue the sprouted ones at the bottom of the fridge:D I was however very naughty last night due to being shattered and went to the chippy so that's another £6 on my food spend taking me up to £18 :embarasse so don't think I'll be anywhere near winning this weeks challenge!
Quick question, I haven't joined the weigh loss challenge but I am carb sensitive which means trying to stay away from them, I'm really struggling with my evening meal though because I feel like I've got a complete (the filling part) group missing! What would you have to go with the casserole I'm cooking obviously potatoes are not ideal nor rice or pasta?
The weather is really horrid here and I've been out this morning to find we've lost a ten foot tree to the gales - yet my falling down fence is fine

Jake's mum I don't think you're being dramatic, you've worked really, really hard on Christmas, debt payments and the amazing birthday party and you've done it all on a shoe string! My husband is exactly the same (only it's real tools not a virtual game) and I do (most of the time actually) feel like I'm the only one who cares...and the only adult in the house :rotfl: Perhaps your husband is not as strong as you so it's easier to pretend the problem doesn't exist and leave you to it - there's definitely an element of that goes on here ....I wonder would he have filled in his own job applications?
I am definitely the only adult in this house :rotfl:, the reason I fill in his application forms is because he's dyslexic and he cant read the questions let alone write an answer anyone can readI have spent 14 years listening to 'love! how do you spell cash? how do you spell come? how do you spell ship?' ive tried the whole spell it out thing (like with a child) but it grates on me something cronic especially when he just interupts me halfway through typing something to ask as hes talking to some foreign bloke on his game and doesnt want him to think hes thick and cant spell . . . like every foreign person knows how to spell all english words :rotfl:
I have a suggestion, he opens his own account for his game. Is this possible? I know you said he gets x amount each month for his game as an allowance, but it sounds like the game is becoming an obsession, like gambling in a way but not. I used to play a game like this and in the end had to cut myself off from it as I just kept pouring money into it needlessly.
Has it sunk into him how much debt you're in .
I think my main gripe is that any money he gets he thinks is ok to just GIVE to this company, all the finances are just not his problem nor does he forward plan, no thoughts to my birthday, the need of clothes etc he'll just get his card out when it gets to that stage and i'll sort it outHe is addicted to the game, hes been playing 2 years. I used to play as well (though wouldnt give them my money  its advertised as a free game, I want it free ) but had to give up as it takes over your life, but hes still in there and theres always those that are credit card players that he thinks he has to keep up with, its always just one more lvl, 1 more fight etc
After I wrote that I logged off and went upstairs to bed and read for 2 hrs because if I hadnt I would have given him such a mouthfulHe does have a very good idea of our financial situation but is in the 'well as long as im not getting letters threatening baliffs then its ok' brigade. Late payments dont worry him, living in the overdraft doesnt worry him but ooooo does he look at me with daggers if something goes wrong with the car or his bike and theres no money for it (and I say no your not using your credit card), thats MY problem
Stil angry, can you tell? :rotfl: oh and hes currently looking on his other computer at jobs . . yes he has two computers and has the game running on both at times  and yes the game is running on the second computer while he looks at jobs :eek:SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

Morning Gang,
Well done on all the updates on how much we have reduced our debts by. Jakes mum can totally sympathise
Beachie - Not all men of course just the one's who seem to think there is a never ending stream of money in the bank somedays! You would believe the fight I had with my other half SORN his car off the road this week!
Anyway
Quick Payment this morning No. 149 Bringing my total up to £971.430 -
Jakes-mum I strongly suspect we are married to the same man :rotfl: Your post resonates on so many levels although not dyslexic I too have spent years spelling words for my husband/son and even university student daughter - at least your husband has an excuse but I can see that it's the game that grates rather than the spelling, I suppose it's like a constant reminder.
My husband has the same attitude to money (not computer games but beer, wine, cigars and tools) this is why I feel I will have to make January very uncomfortable for us both and NOT put the tax bill on the 0% card but eek out the money from somewhere....the only thing is that it might just be me feeling the pain because his attitude is that it's fine so long as we're paying everything!
Next time he complains and looks at you with daggers point out how much he's spent on his game and suggest he saves and emergency fund for his car! I'd be tempted to steal the hard drives from his computer :rotfl: or upload a virus that only you can take off so everytime he goes on it crasheshaha ok I'm getting carried away now but should have given you enough ideas to give you a starting point
I'm going to sort out the spare room this weekend because dh wants to watch football from morning till late and I'm fed up with listening to it so think I will take my kindle and dvd's up to what I hope will become my sanctuary :T0 -
Have managed to get my CC under £2000 :j
Will post my total later when it updates, but I am really pleased. I hope that it will be gone by the end of March, but I might be being a bit optimistic on that front.Pay off all my debts before Christmas 2015 #165.0 -

Ahhh so now hes leading a double life  :rotfl: maybe he really is the same man and hes just pretending to have dyslexia as you wont do his applications for him :rotfl::rotfl: look at the extra work you've put on me :rotfl:
I had to laugh about the hard drives as once when he really narked me off over the game and giving them money . . . well i waited till he went to work and then changed all the passwords on his game, email and facebookHis game password is still what I made it as I also registered it to my email (which I also changed the password on) petty yes . . . made me feel better? oh yes!
ive also hidden all the keyboards in the house when he had an entire week off work and spent every day from 6am till midnight playing  he never said anything but there was alot of huffing as he sat through all my chick flicks :rotfl:SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
Aw thank you
I was looking at the blue polka dot pillowcases in the sale and trying to work out how much it costs me in fabric at £12 a metre vs how much I'd need. I reckon for the cost of 1 in the sale I can make 2! Trying to price up how much the duvet would be, and thinking £24.... does this sound about right for a CK duvet? 2m of fabric folded in half sew each edge and finish the 3rd with handmade buttons
Ooh whilst I'm thinking MSE'y I reckon I could cheat, get a cheaper non CK fabric for the underside of the duvet, therefore CK duvet for £12 ooooh where's the lightbulb smiley?
Hi Kerri, the CK bed covers are about £45-50 so £24 or £12 is a bargain, you've now got me thinking to see if I could try making one myself :j Might have to visit a few shops at the weekend looking at fabric. The CK website also has the fabric on sale 1 metre for £10. Have fun making your duvet.I will stop spending on things I don't need
Lloyds TSB CC - £3577/£3650, HSBC CC - £2425/£2621, VIRGIN CC - £5349/£5405, BARCLAY'S CC - £3700, HALIFAX - £109/£199

Have got yesterdays other half of pasta for lunch today, but as it was a bit cack I've also grabbed a tin of leek and potato soup just in case from the cupboard. I've also got my flapjack and brownie again today, completely forgot to upload the photo yesterday as I was doing paperwork *yawn*
No payments today but a NSD, CK have emailed me to say my order is on its way but I'm going to complain if it doesn't arrive today as I paid an extra £2 for next day delivery. I ordered before their cut off time so will demand a refund of the extra if it doesn't come.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:
