Plus looked online and got a second hand hard rive for his console so instead of £50 I've only spent £30! Hurray. Now just have to careful on the meal for 3 for anniversary/ birthday!

After 3 months finally got my birthday present watch however no realised I let the watch down so need to plough through these debts and clear them then I can get some new clothes!
Right best get on with my ironing and an early start. Off to Chesterfield tomorrow!
  • Hi all. Sorry I've been AWOL recently. I've been through a real low patch, I think a year of bad news has finally caused the bottle I was putting it all in to go 'pop'.

Pay day today, so some new payments made. New totals are...

    #57 £4,534.27/£16,136.77 28.10%

Woop! Over a quarter paid! :j

I've got some time off coming up, so I'm planning to cane the eBay account. I've got a few biggies to sell, let's see how this goes!

Well done on the payments and good to see you back. I think a lot of us have struggled this month....I know that pay day is still a week away here and money is very tight this month, am having to break into a few "virtual" pots just to feed ourselves. :( Still, at least we're all in a similar situation!

Cheers JM. He's back on his feet a bit, although still stuck in Hospital after nearly a month. He's only been awake for a week and a bit, so it's good progress that he's venturing away from the bed occasionally. Getting there :)

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Morning all!

Been AWOL this weekend, just cuaght up on your weekend news.

Hugs to Ruthy, I know how heartbreaking it is.
floridafairy, hope Hubby finds some work soon.
Pedro, glad to hear your friend is on the mend.

Taking one of cats to vets tonight, should've budgetted for this but haven't  It's her first visit, for jabs and am going to pay for the vaccines for life programme too so could cost in the region of £100:eek: BUT I will benefit next year and many years after when her booster will cost nothing :) Could be another tight month but the freezer is full so we won't starve and DH is still hoping to sell his car soon...

  • Hello lovely people

Sorry I've been absent for a while (and have had to skip about 10 pages as no chance of catching up properly, though I did try, promise ;)) Work has been really busy so haven't had much chance to keep up.

I'm still in a bit of a pickle with my finances this month (though I know it's not bad :)). I have had lots of cash in/out, mostly in from bingo, ebay, etc. but with pending transactions all over the place it's difficult to put a figure down....plus I let OH go clothes shopping last week and he did two grocery shops (I wasn't feeling up to it). I've not had the receipts for these, plus it also means he has the cards again, which could be dangerous :p

I know that I have at least another £200 to pay off CC though, which is great news :j

Must try and work out some numbers now and update signature as best I can
I've just found this month as it's the first I've budgeted properly that things keep coming up that I hadn't budgeted for, as I'd forgotten about them. But the longer I do it probably the less unexpected things will come up (I hope :o).

That's exactly what I'm hoping for - I also have a lot of "miscellaneous" spends, which I hope I can eventually create categories for and/or separate budgets where necessary ;)

    H xx

  • Oh, and I have to report an epic failure regarding the diet = I've gained back 6lbs so am back to 8lbs/63lbs (#77) (Sorry if you miss this Jemma - I can do bold, and red, but making it big is a step too far for me emotionally :rotfl:!)
