Sorry to hear your news FloridaLady hope he finds something
Pedro nice to see you, glad your friend is on the mend albeit slowly
Today I've been signed off until at least March 31st, pending a consultation with an ENT specialist as my ear still isn't right. So now I need to find out what my statutory pay will be, think about cashing in some shares, decide whether to continue waiting to see if I can fly or should I just find another job. I've also told Mr S that I will definitely be moving in now as on statutory pay I won't be able to afford to stay where I am. Just when I was getting sorted financially and this happens... it's true what they say, 'there is always something'.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

I need advice please.... I'm looking at Jakes-mum here mostly I think...
I've just checked online banking and found my SA tax rebate is coming in tomorrow for 10/11... I'm getting £1222.17 which could easily pay off my OD and my c/c. What I want to know is at what stage should I put this as paid off? When I have enough savings to cover the OD and then cancel it? Or should I just cancel it regardless and not have anything for emergencies?
Anyway, I did tell you all I'd paid freemans off the other day...so

I got my barclaycard statement through and didn't like the £1 interest charged! I know it's not much but it's meant to be 0% so I need to see what has been going on...
I've also got a horrid chesty cough so my lovely work colleagues put a big red cross on my office door with "PLAGUE" written underneath in case the cross was too confusing... :rotfl:
On the plus side, I've lost 1lb this week so I think my head is getting back in the game with both the weightloss and debtloss as I've been struggling recently with both:o:o I guess we all go through times like these but the main point is that we keep coming back (and luckily the damage isn't too bad as I pretty much just spent my birthday money that's all)
I'm really not feeling brill so I'm going to leave the updating until tomorrow if that's ok and go straight up to bed...Not getting much sleep with coughing so much.
Psychopathbabble, I hope the ENT can help you as this is not a good situation at all! Is there anyway you can be seconded to work at the airport or head office or something grounded until this issue clears up rather than having to think about leaving? xxx
