  • Hi all, just a quick lunch-break check in.

Had a bit of a review of the old online finances and nearly have an exact total. Just need to dig out my last Barclaycard statment for that one. It was originally an Egg Card but they changed the provider (without telling me!) and now I can't check it online - v annoying!

Also reviewed the Current Account situation and had quite a bit more in there than I thought I would...I'm just waiting to see what DD I've forgotten about!

Anyway, with this weeks brill challenge I've realised I've got enough food to last me quite a while so I decided to get the ball rolling and try & take a chunk out of my OD. My new total is:

    #251 £70/£5885.67 :j

On target for another NSD too - so far so good. :T

I used to have a Barclaycard and could do online banking with it....seems odd that you wouldn't be able to now.

Sorry, I know that doesn't seem very helpful but it may be worth looking into

Not a problem :) I didn't get mine last year as they decided you had to be there a year before you could get it, I worked really hard for them too! Grrr.

  • Hello all,

Just a report of another mini payment (rounding off the pennies)..

    #064 - £336.81/£13,210.36

A work day for me (sloping in while I have a cuppa) so thankfully also a NSD.

I managed to get up nice and early this morning and do quite a few Swagbucks tasks before work, so thats beefed up my balance a little too :)

Been very lucky only joined in October and they only have a 3 month probation! I am the luckiest in the world. I say currently drowning under paperwork!

Hi . i invested into a sewing machine in Nov when i couldnt even afford it but its be so worth it. Havent made any money yet but did a few learn to sew/soft furnishing/upholstery classes and now i can make own stuff for the home from old fabric from clothes, getting fabric from charity shops, making book cover/bags, cushions etc to sell eventually.. start small or do a class to get you motivated x

That's a fantastic idea think i'll check out the local community centre and college for classes, I would love to start making my own things.

Ooh I love sewing, next on my list is a Cath Kidston plastic bag dispenser thingy. They were selling in JL for £12 (I think) and it made me wince as I knew I could make it for half that price, and that's my task for the weekend :) Ooh and The Swedish Funiture Flatpack shop sell Cath Kid stone fabric for cheaps :) I noticed they have curtains in their in the Paisley print.

Kerri I LOVE CK I never thought of looking for fabric in that lovely Swedish shop :rotfl: I want the ck throw for the bed but at £150  my OH put his foot down and rightly so. So i was thinking of making a patch work one with different material :j

Your photos of your made items are lovely again..... very jealous, think the sewing machine will be out today so I can practice.
I will stop spending on things I don't need

    Lloyds TSB CC - £3577/£3650, HSBC CC - £2425/£2621, VIRGIN CC - £5349/£5405, BARCLAY'S CC - £3700, HALIFAX - £109/£199
