Well I don't care who stalks my debt-busting, I'm having fun doing it :) Went for a run this afternoon with the OH, housemate and her 2 mental dogs. Took us about 1hr 30mins but it was freeeee :D Just been asking OH what we should do for tea as we're going to be on the road and he suggested motorway services....I instantly said "no we won't" and then silence fell...So then I had to explain why we're not and that I only have a few £££'s until payday and even though I could afford to have services for tea tonight, I then wouldn't be able to afford to drive to the various locations for work next week without dipping into my pots. He soon understood then offered to lend me money if I needed it...so I'm not sure he quite gets that I'm trying to live within my means but still...

Anyway, no debt busting from me until next Friday but I do like how my thoughts have changed from spend, spend, spend to "that's too expensive I know I can do it cheaper and better" afterall, HM food is soooo much yummier than shop bought... I'm off to make HM banana and honey smoothies now :D

But then hes just adding to your debt as you'll then owe him money too! Men! sometimes I really think they purposefully refuse to 'get' things *where is that rolls eyes smiley!!!*

  • I agree, people who stalk others on here are just sad individuals and need to GET A LIFE!

We're still having holidays. By the time we are debt free, our eldest will be 16 or 17 and probably won't want to come with us any more, so I'm still making sure we have a decent holiday. Yes it means it's going to take us about 6-12 months longer to clear our debts, but we're going to have lovely memories.

For next year, I'd recommend Eurocamp for cheap breaks at Easter, we're off to Holland in a big static on a park with an indoor aquapark and theme park all included and it's costing us about £300 including the ferry. Spends, well, we'll just spend what we would have on food anyway, and a bit extra for fuel. We'll take the bikes and cycle around, not planning on paying to go into any other places than those onsite and free days out and about enjoying the beautiful area.

Hey guys, thanks for all the concern. I was a bit freaked out yesterday because I didn't know who it was that was checking up on me, I was just warned second hand. I think I've worked it out now, and that person just needs to get her own life rather than being so obsessed with mine! I will take a short break, and then return to keep updated with debt totals - said crazy person already knows how much debt I have and I'm not ashamed to be paying it off. Might steer clear of some of the more personal stuff tho.

I have been reading in the mean time, and I agree with the general consensus that life is for living. As part of the challenge we are all trying to be debt free (or as close as possible) by the end of the year, so as long as your plans aren't going to stop that (and it is stuff you actually want to so) then go for it.

Is it someone you know personally or just some randomer on here with nothing better to do??!
    In debt no more!

Oooh which theme park? Love Holland :) we're off in April for my first Dutch wedding, cannot wait! Xxx
Life is too short not to love what you do.
  • So sad to hear that some sados are stalking people on here. Is there no way to report this to the powers that be?? I love to hear peoples stories and share some of my experiences too. Feel like we are one big family who support each other and offer advice if it is wanted.

Pleased to hear it Jakes-mum that you are going to book a holiday:j:j. We are going in June to my parents 4 birth caravan in North Wales £12 a night on the site. We can't wait as frinds are going too. Loads of cheap days on the beach and our trat is to have a lovely coffee and cake in the cafes on the beach (all HM). Also going for about 10 days in Aug. Will be away for my birthday and hopefully spend it on my favourite beach there like last yr.

Go for it everyone. We are all debt busting but need a little fun too. Always looking for the cheapest way to do it.

    Have a great night.
