Mf0u, Sounds like you are possibly the only sane one at the moment. Know the feeling about food, MIL usually eats my food in the fridge and now I'm trying to do NSD it will have to change.
Kerri - At least that was some NSD days! Any news on the baby yet?
Jakes mum - Where have you been missing the banter or antics!
Well no more to report into my accounts. However had to cheer husband up as he was expecting some money into his account and got a lot less then expected, however there i was cheering him up and planning for the next bit! Thanks to everyone on the MSE forums for a more positive frame of mind. A few months ago I would have been really stressed0 -

Hi everyone - you are all doing so well and being very positive :j
Here are my aims:-
1. I am going to look into NSD (I think I could try 14 per month).
2. Save £1 coins in my campervan money box
3. Love the idea of MAKING money but not sure how - advice on Flebay etc?
4. Stick to minimal budget Petrol £150pm; food £150 pm; self £100pm; DD1 £40pm (so she can learn to budget her pocket money:))
I have had minor setback - flat tyre on my car. Thought I would save money by tackling it myself which turned into ridiculous carry on saga I thought might raise a smile. Even tho I am clueless mechanically with help of DS2 managed to work out how to get out spare tyre (half an hour) and use jack (20 mins) but couldn't get wheel nuts off (20 mins of ridiculous foolery)! A friend came to help and realised head of our tool was useless so he pumped up tyre and I drove it to local friendly garage which was miraculously open. Bloke there agreed to help change wheel when to top off saga he found spare was wrong size! He thought current tyre may not go down again as he couldn't find a leak so I drove off home - it was flat again within the hour. I think tomo will not be a NSDDebt Free. Have my Van.Find dream

VW campervan mum,
Try the: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=145
Ebay would be a good start or amazon for books. You could also try gumtree and so on for selling goods.0 -
Afternoon all! Not much to update on debt unfortunately, but am feeling very pleased that I kept to my budget for Christmas. Just got back to my flat and both flatmates are complaining about overspending and having massive credit card bills.
Also, I closed my bank account (I do not like santander) and they have sent me a cheque for the remaining balance 3p:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. RBS are selling my other account to santander so I need to have that overdraft paid off as soon as possible so I can close that too. From my spreadsheet I am hoping that will be with my wages on 28th Feb.
Loving the mini-challenge this week, thanks Kerri! Been to the shops and bought the essentials - diet coke, bananas and salad. Total cost £4.53, and I'm pretty sure I have everything else I will need for the week. I have also put away my first ever £2 for the challenge - with a bit of luck (and lots of hard work) I should be debt free by the end of the year and able to spend my £2 coins on something special for myself.
Tonight will be a bit more spendy as I am going to the pub to watch the darts - sometimes I think it would be cheaper to actually pay for sky sports! To keep it cheap, I will be eating before going out, and alternating alcoholic drinks with soft drinks.:A If saving money is wrong, I don't want to be right. William Shatner

Another good day, took dogs out for walk, bumped into people who bought puppy from us 6 years ago, now wanting another for company for the older dog, but no breeding for me for a few more years. Walked with OH to ASDA, only bought what I needed, milk, veg and stock cubes (so chuffed with myself). Agreed to another 6 hours overtime tomorrow, so February will be a good month for paying down my debt. :TSealed pot (who knows?)
All debts paid in 2013 :T, apart from overdraft, now to tackle that:)

I am gutted! I just 'found' another debt of £1200! So despite managing to pay off nearly a £1000 since Christmas I now have to redo my total and it will be more than when I started! DAMN IT!
