  • Also: for those weight loss challengers - I have recently found out about a website called www.myfitnesspal.com
It is fantastic - it's a place that will calculate how many calories you need to eat each day to lose the weight you want to lose, and you can track your food on there regularly to make sure you stay within the limits. I will be using to hopefully tackle my weight loss, as I want a simple, calorie-controlled approach! You can download an app for your phone to track when you're on the go. If anyone has any other tools for weight loss please recommend![/QUOTE]

I can personally vouch for this site, although I use the free iPhone app which is amazing! Every food you can imagine is on it, so no need for adding the calories yourself, it's all done automatically. And if you add your meals to your diary as you go you can see exactly how many calories you have left for that after dinner snack. I wouldn't be without it. :)

    Posh bint,

It's a fab app! Have you found the bar code reader yet, plus with the inbuilt diary you get to keep track.

Hello-I'm new! I'd love to join your thread if you'll have me. Had my LBM mid-2011, but it has taken me until the New Year to do anything about it. My husband and I moved from the UK to Canada in 2008 and it has hit us quite hard financially. This WILL be the year that all our hard work will pay off (she says with fingers crossed!) I notice that you have subscribers quoting figures in sterling, euros and bhat (?sp), so I hope it is ok to chart ours in Canadian dollars. The debt comes from two credit cards, which I plan to reduce by using the Snowball method...then I will focus on our sizeable mortgage. In addition, I have been comfort eating and have approx 70lbs to lose. So, onwards and upwards Peeps! :snow_laug:snow_laug

Yes, the barcode scanner is fab! I find the exercise bit good too, no more trawling google trying to find how many calories does 30 mins of such n such burn. Wouldn't be without it :)

  • Hi, I'm new to all this but reading what you said about returning to your old habits is exactly how I'm feeling at the moment and think this challenge may be just the trick to keep me going, so I'd love to join!
