Hiya everyone, just popping on in work (naughty Jemma!) to apologise for not being on last night but I set off to T3scos to get some stuff for lunches this week but I got about half a mile down the road when my stomach decided to do backflips and my IBS kicked off. Have spent all evening and night in bed very uncomfortable but seems to be better today, just a little fragile. I think I've got some totals to update as some dd's have come out for my loans/cc's but I will have a look tonight. Payday is a week tomorrow so should be able to throw more at it then as well. I've managed to get 7 NSD's in a row, completely shocked that this is actually possible!!! I'm off to T3scos in my lunch break though so I don't have to mess about tonight but I've got the cash out ready (plus my mum gave me £20 to put towards the family shop so will see if I can come under that!).

Must dash but I'll be on later tonight to have a chat, welcome our new members and update all your totals. Have a lovely day xxx

Morning all! Please be gentle, my head hurts quite a lot. Was very MSE last night - my date insisted on paying for dinner. And got my car insurance renewal quote, which heppens to be £50 cheaper than I was expecting. Will have to check my money properly again today and see if I can use it to pay anything off. Unlikely tho, for some reason this month has been quite expensive alread, and I still have 2 full weeks til I get paid.

    Morning all!

Hope you're all well. Was hoping for a NSD but have had to order some more magnetic cat keys from am'zon. We've had the lock taped down for a while to save us replacing two the cats managed to lose but it seems we have an intruder sneaking in at night and chomping his way through the catfood. Caught him in the kitchen this morning - he has a collar and seems well fed, so I suspect he's not a stray just a greedy opportunist - I can't afford to feed unwelcome visitors. I wouldn't mind but 3 of my cats were just sat there staring at him, grrr! . So I now have £5.19 to last me til payday on Friday.
On the plus side, I've saved over £12 buying them online instead of local pet store. Better get back to work. Continue with the debtbusting xxx

Further to my earlier post, just finished with the tally up for the month so far and it's not great, but also not as hideous as I might first have imagined ;) But there are still 13 days of January left. Hopefully I won't have to dip into the credit card fund to get me through to payday..... :(

It was my birthday at the weekend so OH and I have been a little more lax with the spending than we might ordinarily have been. However, I think the pocket money concept is starting to work (though I only have £6.55 left until the weekend, but that'll be ok, I'm sure :)) I've still got to reign myself in a little on what I consider to be household 'essentials' versus what I really should be paying for out of pm as a treat :o:o Do flowers count as an essential....?!?

    xx

It went pretty well actually. We went to a French restaurant for dinner (quite posh, but still relaxed), then a local pub for a couple of drinks. He's so lovely and kept making me laugh all night, which is a good thing I think. Annoying that he lives far away, but he's back on Monday and has already asked if he can see me again then. I've been sitting smiling to myself all morning, my colleagues must think I'm mental!

That sounds lovely :) And fab that he has asked to see you again already! Making you laugh is very definitely a good thing, I couldn't imagine being with someone who never made me laugh.

When I met MrS on our first 'date' I ended up telling him he was really rude and I wouldn't bother talking if he wasn't going to listen.... for some reason, he wanted to see me again! :rotfl:

You can get catflaps now that work with microchips. Are your cats chipped? No more losing magnets. Although if other cats are chipped then they can get in. Catch 22 really.

Ooooh how did you meet? I've been single for sooooo long and one of my resolutions for this year is to meet someone but have no idea where to start as all my friends are married with kids already (I'm only 30!) and don't go out, or if we do then everyone are always in couples... Wow I feel like Bridget Jones when she sits at that table surrounded by smug happy couples asking why she's still single! People ask me this and I either respond with "the good ones are either taken, gay or dead" or "I'm too picky". The real truth is that it's hard to meet someone when you are a recovering workaholic and have been hurt in the past! I've now got all this spare time and no idea where to start with getting more of a social life. Any ideas peeps? xxx

Oh and can't cost too much money!
