  • You know my whinge yesterday about hubbys 2 year pay freeze and so on? Someone up there must've heard how sad I was, cause I got home from a really hard day at work to a letter from the taxman saying that I'd overpaid tax for 2010-11 and giving me a nice cheque for £400. :j

We had the same problem with Velvet too Kerri - blocked our toilet right up. Though I do like the little boy on advert :)

  • Evening all,

I keep forgetting that not only do I over pay my student loan, an £87 chunk comes out every month in my pay packet, so my updated total is:

    Member #27 £956.54/22922.39 (4.17%)

That means, as a minimum I pay £250 to my debts. Looking to pay £500 off this month to my BARCLAYCARD. Done £20 so far! :p

  • I haven't even counted my student loan! That might force me over the edge!!!!

I think I'm one of the only people who have, but after my CC (cleared in February) and my student overdraft (cleared in October), my student loan is the only money I owe to any institutes (other than my mortgage which is joint)

I don't want to have any money owned to a company which helped me get into this mess! :p

I'm not counting mine. When I earn over £15k a year I'll think about including it. But not now.

I'm not counting my student loan as it's less than the price of inflation, therefore paying it off quicker I'll actually lose money. I've got about £14k left to pay, but it is nice seeing the yearly statement with the amount decreasing each year :) I pay about £150pm at the moment out of my wages

Well today has been a pretty good day...got my first NSD of the month, found out my total bonus pay for next month is actually higher than I had thought it was, and remembered to check some balances to see I'd actually paid more that I realised thanks to some direct debits. So in total, my figure now stands at:

    #30 269.72 / 38028.13

With regards to student loan, I've included mine in my total just so that I just have one figure that covers everything. The student loan is the last thing that is going to be paid though, and if that's all that I have left going into next year then I'll be happy :)
