Hello everyone.... could I join the cause please?
It's amazing how it focuses you by putting the figures there for all to see. There's some great tips on this thread too.
I worked out that I need to pay off £464.29 (or more if possible) each month to clear everything by Chrimbo this year. It seems silly now that I've been been paying bits here and there and never actually sat down and thought about making a concerted effort to just knuckle down and get it out of the way as soon as possible. I feel quite liberated to be honest0 -
Jakes-mum, call the bank, get them to take the OD down to take away temptation, then take off the OD amount
I was going to bring it down but my worry is that as DH is still working as agency if we have a few weeks of him having no work im going to need that buffer to pay the mortgagepsychopathbabble wrote: »I wish I was 4 again!
Re the overdraft, I'd declare £500 of it, then you have £100 'spare' to play with if you needed it. Hope that helpsEnjoy reading all those lovely books!
Think this is a good idea as if I need to use it its stil there, im not brave enough to declare £500 though as id not get over having to take down my total paid :rotfl: so i'll declare £250 and then see where I am in a couple of months to declare a bit more

Afternoon all! Congrats on the party jakes-mum, it sounds like it was worth all the effort. Kerri, I have a sister a bit like that. She's always happy to let my parents pay for EVERYTHING, including a family holiday where mum paid for the cottage, the petrol, the groceries, beach snacks and when we went out for dinner, but sis didn't even bother her backside enough to make a cup of tea the whole week !
I like the sound of this week's challenge, I was much better with money when I used to take out the cash, so will defo do that. Starting with tonight, when I have a first date with a nice young man. Just going to the pub for a few drinks, and I'm trying not to get too over-excited.:A If saving money is wrong, I don't want to be right. William Shatner

Good luck Antonia
Hope you enjoy it x
Going for dinner tonight for a friends 30th, but I managed to find a voucher for 2 free drinks when you buy 2 main meals so thats good! Doctor tomorrow is going to cost £70... in a way I want to get signed off again so it's worth getting a second opinion, but I guess it's peace of mind if he does approve my return to work. Good job I sold stuff on ebay, that will just about cover it.
Not doing anything on the weight front as I'm boredom eating, and the only thing to really eat in the house is chocolate! No debt payments yet as I'm waiting for all the ebay stuff to clear, what little I have leftover I'll chuck at the debt. I did want to pay a chunk to MrS for HK flights but there won't be much for that.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16
