Hellooooooooooooooooo df'ers
well its taken 2 hours for lily to open all her presents  thats not including the 20 minute breakfast break I called an hour and a half in :rotfl:shes now playing with both of the tea sets she got (a lovely porcelein one from her gran and a barbie one from one of her nursery friends) shes still in her PJ's as . . well. . . its her birthday :rotfl:
Her auntie bought her a sing along CD player and she opened it and spent a good few minutes admiring the pack of batteries before realising the HUGE CD player was in there :rotfl: Ive got about 50 pictures of her opening everything as daddy was off to work at 5am again so has missed it allI dont think he'll be home again till 4 - 5pm either so im hoping he's not too shattered that he falls asleep on the sofa as soon as he walks in the door. Jake didnt want to go to school today as he didnt want to miss all the present opening so I know he was late today :rotfl:
I now get to spend the day reading the ton of books shes got, to her  lucky me! :rotfl:

I wish I was 4 again!
Re the overdraft, I'd declare £500 of it, then you have £100 'spare' to play with if you needed it. Hope that helpsEnjoy reading all those lovely books!

I should have took cash for my shopping yesterday.I had my budget list and felt proud of myself. However my hubby had other ideas and went off with a second medium trolley. He left me to pay for it all at the end.So my lot will have to live with what we have got till payday at end of month.
My sons need to stop growing. I have to buy 6 polo shirts and 4 jumpers this week at 100 pound.
It is very difficult to budget when there is not a lot to cut back on.
Anyway I got a 700 pound refund for a chair i had. i wanted to put it toward the c.c..However my hubby took 100 he said id owed him. ive had to use it toward the extra shopping and the childcare. So i managed to retrieve 150 pound from it.

Hello. Re this week's paying by cash challenge - I started doing this a few weeks back and find it really useful as it's easier to track how much you've got left and tailor your spending to that. What I do with my main food shop to avoid the panicking at the till that I haven't got enough is to get to know the approximate prices of things I regularly buy and make a menu plan and list of what I need for the week, then roughly price out how much it's going to cost. That way, if the meals are more than my budget, I can change them to something cheaper before I go. Also you can see whether the actual cost of items is right as you are going round the supermarket to give you a rough idea if you are going to go over the amount you thought it would be - before you get to the till. When I'm pricing out the meals and other expenses, I make sure I'm going to have enough left over for perishables that I need to get during the week. I wish I'd done this years ago
