That's fantastic news! Looking forward to seeing your debt melting away and it's great to hear how motivated you are!
Sorry I didn't post earlier, haven't been on for a while due to family illness, so really pleased to log on and read your good news xx0 -
Hi Nonnie
I hope things are getting better for you, I also have a mother who is very poorly I know the strain it can put on day to day life sending you hugs
Well first night shift yesterday and all seems positive, it is going to take a bit of getting used to but knowing a weekly wage is coming in will keep me going especially as they have had a 50p an hour payrise which I will be getting :j
No payments made this week just getting by until pay day next week there is plenty of food in the house although I have my dad coming to visit for a week food wont be a problem but sleep might be, not quite sure where I will fit it in with 2 jobs and him wanting to go visit places everyday
Already been in the office for a few hours this morning now its me time catching up of rubbish tv and snoozing ready for another night shift.
I just cant wait to start sending chunky payments to the debt and already planning mortgage overpayments even though its a fair way off :rotfl:MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035

Thanks hwg, mum is getting better and hopefully getting home from hospital on Thursday if her warfarin level is up, fingers crossed.
Jings, I see you point about sleep when your dad is visiting, I can see a wee bit of juggling happening there!
Your doing really well and your positivity is infectious, thank you! xx0 -
I hope your mum is home and on the road to recovery, parents take on a different role as they get older as do we.
Well the first working week is over and its a refreshing change to just go do a job and come home no stress just pennies in the bank at the end of the week :T I'm actually coping quite well with the hours and sleep so far so debt and mortgage I'm coming for you watch out !!!
No overpayments made this week but they will be coming soon watch this space......
In an attempt to save money and time I decided to do my food shop on my way home from work this morning, great idea I thought. In hindsight tiredness and rushing I left my card in Mr T and it hasn't been handed in so card cancelled and no way of spending money until the new card arrives this could be a blessing:cool:
Two and a half weeks until court and he is attempting to settle outside of court, but with ridiculous figures. As much as I don't want to go to court after nearly 5 years I'm not backing down now ive come too far.
Wow in 3 weeks I could be in a very different place and it cant come soon enough.
Off to make dinners and cakes for dad arriving Monday looking forward to having someone to cook for and spoilMARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035

Your so right about taking on different roles hwg, it's a strange changeover but you do what you can and my mums always been there for me so I wouldn't dream of it being any other way......my mil with her mum is a totally different story though! Unfortunately she is a massive burden to her even though at 88 she does all her own housework and laundry etc and really is not a demanding person, people are really odd sometimes!
Talking of parents, I hope you have a really lovely time with your dad, and I'm sure he'll love the spoiling.
So pleased your job is going well, that's great news, not so good about the card but as you say it could be a blessing.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you with court, not a fun thing to go through but after fighting your corner for so long I'm sure it will be worth it, it certainly sounds like he doesn't want to go or maybe thinks it won't go in his favour? Whatever the reason lets hope it's all good for you xx0
