I know it's nowhere near the same as it was only 6 years not 15 and we weren't married although did live together, but from my experience I would say this is the best way HWG.

When I broke up with my ex we did it on good terms and are still best friends now. It defnitely makes the financials etc easier to deal with if you aren't arguing with each other.

It's still a hard thing to go through though so make sure you look after yourself xx

We still have joint finances hes not a bad person but i cant make him want to be with me sad really would be out 15th wedding anniversary tomorrow im trying to remain positive :(
Im sure he will help me with the bike hes turned into my best friend so nothing is nasty just hope it will stay that way.

Moneywise i need to do a BT on my Lloyds card we have a few 0% deals so must get that sorted this weekend and im sure the MINT one will need to be moved in the not to distant future this has to be the last time i want it gone for good.
I sometimes forget how far we have come but i know i could be doing so much more i need to focus again on money even if it is just for a few months

Oh its the best way to be for sure! I admire anyone who can still be civil with ex's - my relationships tended to end with fireworks!! Not good!

I have £1200 to clear off my visa and £220 of a uni debt - stopped in on this fine Saturday night and put £30 to the visa - dull but needs must! I look forward to seeing you hit the last 10k - it wont be too long :j

Well done on staying in to pay off the debt its hard for me as im just starting to get used to going out

Its payday tomorrow and im hoping to pay a large chunk off the debt been so busy not really had a good look at the figures.

I have listed 3 items on ebay and i hope to keep adding all week im determind to get under £10k this month so maybe going out will need to calm down a little.
I will be back with an update tomorrow

Opps delayed update and to be honest a little unsure how the debt stands and if we will get under 10k as i have started repayments to my bike and OH has also got some additional debt which we are throwing money at as i dont want to get stung with interest. However with the first round of payments we are now down to £11170 and im happy with that.
Im wondering if i should add in our addidtional debts but we have some extra money coming next payday so i think i will have a new update then of the overall outstanding debt.
Hoping to hear about 2 jobs today neither are extra money but hopefully more interesting than the one im in now.

Other good news DS has got himself a part time job im so proud of him and hes so excited to start earning just need to teach him saving is the way forward

So payday has been again we have decided to add all our debt to the pot and cleared the highest interest first and we are now left with one card which i intend focusing all my energy on.
The new debt total is £5863.34 :j:j:j
Im now going all out to get this cleared as we are getting charged interest on this, I dont want to BT as i think it could make me lazy at paying it off and i have lost my way several times this year.

Im not sure how my contract at work is going to go as currently im paid weekly but I could be going to monthly pay from next week on a permanent contract so depending on how it goes I could pay some more off this debt.
I have relisted 30 items on ebay in a start to clear this final bit and im back on surveys
I dont think i have anything left worth any big value but im going to see if i can at least get the things piled in the lounge listed on ebay.
Ive decided not to set an amount to clear as im finding I fail everytime im just going to be extra careful budget and meal plan. I would love to get to xmas with no debt and maybe a little in the bank.
Im off on holiday in 3 weeks but its all paid for including spending money so at least thats something to look forward to.
Right im off to make some lists ;) freezer here I come and debt off you go.

Just £10 to Lloyds today however another payment on the week cleared the interest and a little more so now down to £5580, I need to put more effort in again.
Its my DS birthday today and all spends were out of daily money so nothing on the CC woohoo!!
Holiday is just over a week away and hoping to get close to £5000 before I go so a little belt tightening needs to be done, if we dont spend too much on dinner out tomorrow the rest can go to the card.
Back later with a plan of action
    Happy Friday !!!!
