  • I have a good hubby who I wouldn't change for the world - he try's soooo hard, but some times I want to scream at him, especially because things have been so tough for us with our son's health problems, but I accept that we deal with things very differently. xx

Another with a good man. He's kind, supportive, patient, funny and I sometimes wonder what I did to deserve him. Many of the ''men'' threads make me feel almost guilty for having such a good 'un.
  • yep , I do, he's awesome :)

Me too - however there are times that I could stangle him ;)

We have been together for 10 years next week and married for 2 and have 3 great kids so it's a BIG fingers up at the people who said we wouldn't last more than a couple of months as I was 17 and he was 28.

Even now, after all we've been through we are still just as strong now as we were right at the begining - if fact probably more so! Unfortunately he had an accident 5 years ago that left him disabled and he struggles to do most things especially with the pain and needs a constant eye on him which has left him a tad moody and depressed frequently but it's the little things that he says or does that mean the most, things like the little cuddle at just the right time or on a good day when I get up to find that he's made me a cup of tea.

He's my best friend, my rock, my sounding board and everything else in between.
  • I've a lovely hubbie too! kind, thoughtful and considerate. I've got him well trained in all areas. He lives for his family (Our two daughters and me).

He is not a demonstrative/romantic man but I know that he is always there for me. He has just run me a bath and we are sharing a bag of Cadbury's Snow Bites between the four of us. Bliss.
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

    one life, live it!

I have a great man too!:)

Been together 5 years and he proposed on Christmas day!:j

He drives me insane at times, but I could never imagine my life without him. He looks after me and has taken on my son from a previous relationship and treats him as his own. They're so close and my son loves him to bits too.

    I can't wait to marry him!:j:D

I would just like to say that reading the OPs recognition of her partners' qualities melted my cold and cynical heart and so i say, good luck to you and all the people who value and respect what they have....:)
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
  • Brilliant idea for a post!

I can't list all of the qualities your men have, but my husband is a very good man, I just wish he could see it.
We married young, at 19 and 22 after 3 years going out and have been married 4 years next summer (the summer in which we expect our first child, fingers crossed). I was never one for believing fairytales existed, just a bookworm who hoped they could and was rewarded with finding the kindest, most sweet hearted Welsh man that was made for me.

Neither of us are perfect, we are still young and we still argue but I know that our lives would be incomplete without each other. That's why I hooked him so young! Thank you for the positive focus, and it is often said that people are most likely to complain rather than praise so it is good to see this post :D

  • What a brilliant thread. I have a wonderful husband too and realise how lucky I am. I trawled through quite a few funny frogs to find him mind, but I wouldn't say they were 'bad', just really not right for me. I always saw their faults all too clearly and that didn’t really help draw the best out of them or me. Mind, my husband is quite easy to bring out the best in, as he is a very positive, warm, intelligent, loving man and a brilliant dad. It’s good to be thankful I reckon, and hopefully rather than make people in a negative or nasty situation feel sick , it will inspire them to ask for more from their relationships or themselves.
