  • I am very lucky, my hubby (second one) is amazing, but my mum is lucky too, my dad is a great guy too (well he is now, she had to divorce him and remarry him after a 2 year break to kick his !!!! into gear...) I hope not to have to do the same lol

I don't hate it but it does make me sad sometimes.

Let's be fair and accept that there are far more women who post in this forum and ones experiencing problems and wanting to ask for advice are far more motivated to start threads than utterly content ones. Getting cross with their horrible men who are causing them pain and unhappiness isn't sexist, it's empathy.

Yes, I feel very sad for them too and often read the stories. This thread is just to appreciate the good ones and say how lucky we that have them are (if that makes sense)

  • I also have a good man, we married only after 10 months and have been married for 17 years, I wouldn't change him for the world and he still treats me wonderfully, I am very lucky to have met someone like him.

I have a wonderful husband as well, don't get me wrong he's most defintely not perfect. But I have been ill all week and he has gone every night and done my bar shifts at work, and made sure I don't have to do anything.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

I am so lucky to be married to such a wonderful man, we will be celebrating our silver wedding in May. I often wonder how he turned out to be such a caring, hardworking, loving man who wants nothing more than to provide for our family and make us all happy, despite having a crap childhood after his Mum walked out and his Dad was really ill!! If he has any faults he can be too generous, and finds it hard to save, but then thats why we compliment each other so well - I can't wait for the next 25 years.

I am glad so many people have replied as I was beginning to think they were in the minority.

I have a lovely man, he's not just the nicest man I've ever met but the nicest person I have ever met. He is so understanding and has helped me through the worst time of my life, he made me see there was something to carry on for. He's caring, affectionate, a wonderful father to our son and he even does housework too!

I adore him, we were made for each other, we are always hugging and kissing and we make each other laugh a lot. I love spending time with him even if it's just watching telly or keeping him company when he goes for his daily dump!

oh, and he's also "well hung" if you know what I mean!
  • I have a lovely husband, took minute or two to hunt down but he is lovely, kind and a thoroughly decent person, he is cooking dinner right now :D

There is quite a bit of man bashing on here :p

I think it's the "no news is good news" way of looking at it.
