  • I can't think of ANYTHING, ANYTHING!! more vitaly important in my whole life than having a spotless wheelie bin. It's so crucial to me that I can dispose of my garbage in a pristine vessel of loveliness, that I would be willing to spend up to half a years salary EVERY single month to have it cleaned on a minute by minute basis by a professional cleaner of the highest qualifications. No price is too much and everyone needs to pay that price regardless of income. I'm in an epic amount of debt because of this, but I can sleep easy because my wheelie bin is cleaner than yours!

This thread just got collectively taken to the cleaners.

Even when you feel like you have nothing, someone else has far less. Find them and help them. You’ll see why.....

I`ve actually been sat at the computer before and seen two guys with a van pull up opposite who clean wheelie bins. They take about five seconds to do one bin, they don`t exactly do a good job with bleach, hot water etc. They literally just blast it with cold water then drive off..

I do my own thanks, it`s free and I do a better job

No...and its not the money,,,It is because i have time to do it myself plus everything is bagged in our house..
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
  • Next door but two have their wheelie bins 'cleaned' once a month by a mobile bin cleaning service that basically pressure washes them for 30 seconds and that's it. In the two years we've lived here (first time I'd encountered wheelie bins) we've never needed to clean the wheelie bins, they don't smell and after all only rubbish goes in there. If I really need to clean them then some washing up liquid a kettle of boiling water and a broom should do the trick.

talk about throwing money in the wheelie bin.

use black bin liners that do not split. 3 years later and our bin is dusty but that is about it, or when washing the car, turn the wb on it's side and spray and quick sponge over, once a year. how much money we have saved to date.

and on window cleaning, get a £60 ladder, 5 cotton clothes and the best window and glass cleaning fluid (W5 from Lidl) and watch the cash being saved.

    Yeah great ideas, but...
I cant climb ladders..so that rules out that one :(

I wont use black wheelie bin liners cos its bad for the environment...

" hadnt thought of that, maybe I could volunteer my services in my local area with that as the tag line, and a very low price, as glass cleaner does a better job that water and a bucket"

Timmyt, I am shocked to the core! Isn't this a little like those god-awful internet conveyancing firms nicking business from proper solicitors?:rotfl:
