Would you pay to have your wheelie bin cleaned ?

Options
I've never been asked or had anyone come to my house offering to do it commercially but I was asked whether I would pay and if so, how much.

My gut feeling is that yes, I would pay a bit for regular cleaning but not too much. The bin cycle is every 2 weeks but I'm not sure it needs a spring clean that often, however, I guess prevention is better than cure.

Perhaps the average of a couple of pounds a week or a fiver a go for regular cleaning every couple of weeks ?

To be honest, I think I would!
I have tried to clean my bin myself, but it's not easy!
I used to have my wheelie bin cleaned and it cost £2 a month.
It was like having a new bin every time!

  • I think it depends how you use it. If you always put your rubbish in a bag then put it in the bin then I'd say no.
We have a green bin which you have to chuck in scraps in straight so I would have that clean ever so often, although more often in summer

Used to have a guy here came round and done it £1 per 2 weeks or £1 every week if you got recycle bin done too, no need for that as it doesn't get dirty dirty iykwim. He used to come round with a pressure washer and it was great, he's given it up now tho, so it's up to us to get the bleach and mop out

Pay to clean a bin? how long does that take? a minute or two? our wheelie bin only had either recyclable items which are not really that dirty, or bagged up rubbish
its quite possibly the laziest thing i've ever heard lol :)

My main bin never gets that dirty, the little bin in the kitchen has an old carrier bag as a liner so when rubbish goes in the bin it is in effect wrapped to keep the wheelie bin clean, any other messy stuff maybe wrapped in old newspaper and bags as well.
The garden waste bin needs regular cleaning which i do myself with a bucket of soapy water and the broom, in the corner of the garden.

Yes, I would pay 2 or 3 times a year. I always wrap waste and take care but still would pay to have it done.
