Well that glimmer of light I may have mentioned previously. It's disappeared into a box. Specifically a box of wine.
So for all those words, we have actually gone backwards.
I know it doesn't help but I lost my temper last night, reduced MrR to tears. But an hour later he was behaving like nothing had happened so I guess he'd forgotten the conversation that quickly.

I don't know what the answer is MrsR, it does seem to be that the person themselves needs to realise there is a problem and WANT to make a CHANGE.

All the talking, tears and nagging in the world won't make a difference if the said person doesn't want to do anything. That can be said for absolutely anything from eating disorders, depression, drugs etc.

In your shoes, I would be thinking that my DH is choosing alcohol over me and my baby, that doesn't make me feel very happy or important. If he loved us he would make the sacrifice to change, as hard as it is.

What are your thoughts, can you carry on like this or are you getting near the end of tether. Do you love him enough to support him to change or to let him carry on??

Now obviously my personal situation has no bearing on yours, so please feel free to totally disregard all of that. LOL :-)

    2AF's please Shaggy

    2 SNC please Maman

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

    Good Morning!

Checking in with 2 AFDs for November please Shaggy, and Mackeroo I would like to do the full four days for the SNC this week please (I have a load of stuff that I have to do and I'll get it done better without drink.).

Thanks both of you for keeping track of us all, althouhg I think it's going to be a bit of a struggle to cut back - I have lapsed back into old habits, both woith alcohol and food so I need to pinch it in the bud and get back ontrack.

    Have a great day
    Trying to keep in budget.

    Hi all

Was AF last night, so one for the SNC and 2AF for Nov please :)

mrsrainman - I waited for my lightbulb moment - I am single anyway, so no partner to get on at me so to speak, but it was def the shock of doing something utterly stupid/life threatening that made me reevaluate what I was doing
Think if I had a partner 'going on' at me, I would prob drink more!!
Mind you, as Cuppa said, can you still stay in this situation any longer? I know I wouldnt have the patience
    Hope you are ok today
