Good new about the meetings oprnscreen. If you are travelling to the big Cities in Europe a lot of them have English speaking AA meetings.
Belgium has them in Brussels,Antwerp,Bruges.Italy has them in Milan,Naples,Rome,Venice,Vicenza. There is probably more than those.Obviously there are many more meetings in native languages.
I hope your trip goes well.
A good website is http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/ more useful I think than this forum as it is for people wanting to quit drinking altogether rather than just cutting down.Sobriety delivers everything Alcohol promised.

I have been to meetings in Brussels before, & will look into the naples ones. I have a Where We Meet Book, which is very useful.
Thanks againOpenscreen

EDIT I HAVE UPDATED #3724What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
but those 1-3 units are nearly everyday, so i need to work on that.
Oh that is/would be me too - which is why I have to keep such a close eye on my AFDs.....What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Here's to a better AFness for November for me.
Have to say when I look back at where I was last year, there is a big improvement. Must remember that.

Well that glimmer of light I may have mentioned previously. It's disappeared into a box. Specifically a box of wine.
So for all those words, we have actually gone backwards.
I know it doesn't help but I lost my temper last night, reduced MrR to tears. But an hour later he was behaving like nothing had happened so I guess he'd forgotten the conversation that quickly.
I have a question for those that have really struggled with Alcohol. Do you wish your friends/family had intervened? Helped you? Or would you have not listened to them and you had to wait for your own lightbulb moment? I just don't now whether to do something or let him self-destruct.
Happy Monday everyone
