After posting yesterday I realised that just because I keep eating out I don't actually have to drink! I think because I can have a drink now and stop I do it just because I can. Yesterday I had fizzy water.:)

    1 AFD please Shaggy.

maman, you made me laugh, wd on your 1 AF!

I am up to 4AF now, and one for the SNC please
  • Hi everyone,
I've not made a very good start to November - 8 days in and my first AF day was yesterday.........and the weekend is coming up too!
    (1AFD to report please Shaggy)
However, the good news is that I haven't drunk much at all, not even over the weekend, so I feel a little more in control.
I should manage another AF day today as I'm out this evening and driving.
Its good to read how everyone is doing.

Thanks everyone for welcoming me back.:A

MrsR - Sounds like a bit of detoxing to me, but easing down. Its the best way though (so I've been told). Sweats, stomach cramps, (dry) vomiting, worry, cold/hot - just like flu but knowing its your own fault and how to stop it happening again, knowing it'll happen again, knowing something has to change.:o:o:o

Good luck to MrR and your family. It's not going to be easy but there's always hope and there's the acknowledgement(spelling??:o) now.

And well done to all the AF'ers. Hoping to jump back on for a few days soon too - less sweat at the gym if I do!
Smoke-free since Jan 2012 :j Now its just the drink, and the weight, and life in general :p

    I HAVE UPDATED #3770
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
  • Well done Stupot Stu!

I was out and not moderate enough and I am feeling it this morning. The good news is I think my tolerance is going down as that was 'only' a bottle of wine yet I feel jaded and a bit nauseous. Plus I woke up at 2.30 instead of sleeping really well like I have been the last fortnight. Methinks this drinking too much lark is bad for me. I need ti find Maman's stop button.

Maman, I did like your post, made me smile ruefully.

Right, off to find a healthy ish brekky rather than the pile of bacon and sausage I fancy!

I'm away for the weekend and it will involve wine but I aim to keep it under control.
