Well I've just returned from my very relaxing holiday and thought I'd better pop in and say hi
My gosh it's certainly been busy here since I've been away, I'll have to have a good read back through the thread later. Hello to all the newcomers and good luck for whatever you are aiming for. This is such an amazing and supportive thread :D

Shaggy I'm afraid I have no more AF days to add to my August total. Can you please set my target for 22 for September I am back to work tomorrow and back to eating sensibly and exercise so will need to not be drinking in the week!

So on that note I will be doing the school night challenge if anyone wants to join in let me know and I'll put you on the list.

    Happy Sunday everyone x

  • Hi Mari, I will join the school night challenge please :)

Markman, the smoking is a bit on and off to be honest, although miles away from when I was getting through a packet a day. One of the reasons I want to get AF again is I want to crack the smoking completely again soon!

Hope everyone is getting on ok today :)

Wasn't AF last night as I finished the last 2/3 of a bottle of white. Contemplated chucking it down the sink, then DH joined me for a glass and that was it, all gone.

I will be AF tonight. (There - I've said it, can't go back on it now!) DH is cooking a big roast for us and then I will have a bath and pampering session instead of listening to the 'bells'. New box of latte's on the ready and my latest cross stitch kit on hand to distract me later on.

I am in a really good place in my life and mind at the moment and I just don't want to waste any of it in a boozy fog. I like being alert, in control, looking good and having the motivation to do stuff. Whilst my summer wasn't AF, it wasn't as bad as it could of been and I've lost a bit of weight, am sleeping through the night and I've stopped feeling so jumpy and cranky.

So I'm here basically to keep this feeling going :)

    Good luck everyone for tonight.
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

Well good luck with everything PennyD. If you haven't already, get the Allen Carr book on smoking. I read it, but followed up with a clinic session and not had one puff since. I'm absolutely staggered!

Anyway, I am hoping to be AF tonight :eek:

Just been to the gym instead of the local and looking forward to a huge lovely tea DW is cooking. The a little TV and bed.

Well, thats the plan. Plenty of sparkling water in the fridge too:D

    Good luck all.
Smoke-free since Jan 2012 :j Now its just the drink, and the weight, and life in general :p
