As predicted I drank last night as friend came to stay unexpectedly.

And now i remember why I don't drink when I have to be in work. Making sure I was legal to drive before setting off this morning made me feel really dirty.

However I am here and I will now put my little nose on the grindstone and make like a pit pony.

:mad::mad::mad: My DS is determined to drive me to drink!!!
Came home from a school trip and wouldn't let me empty his bag - when I got him to do it in front of me he pulled out my ipod:mad::mad::mad:
2 things in 2 weeks, I was fuming
Now grounded for a week, no school disco either - even had to ring his Dad to ask him what to do. So don't want my kids to grow up :(
This would have def been a wine night previously, but will be good

    So 27 AF please Shaggy

    :Ttracy, you did well!

I was tempted again earlier, not a craving as such I just thought it would have been nice to have a drink after a busy day. Fortunately, I needed to drive and by the time I got home the thought of missing my one last AF day for March spurred me on!

12 AFDs for me please and my 2 done for the SNC.

I'm reasonably pleased as March has been a very social month for me. I think April will be similar as I'm away for 5 days over Easter but if I can continue to be controlled and moderate I'll be happy.

I'll keep reading but won't have any more days to report until next week.

:T to Shaggy and Bearacus for the scoring, it's an immense help. Thank You!

I was really sick yesterday. It was nil by mouth (not even coffee!) for 24 hours. Feeling a lot better today....and I have 2 AFDs to add;).

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Hey guys, wonder if I could jump aboard this thread? I am not a big drinker usually a 6 pack on a Saturday night but it worries me in that I am finding it very hard to give it up, I've been doing this for years, I am addicted I guess.

Hi and I'm pushing out the MSE images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRs71aDiZHhpzyPwrzsgIFVKEOHHv5Jb0e4cvOkkXX7BZoG28lc9A&t=1 for you.

I will be starting a new monthly challenge for April if you want to join in. 30 days up for grabs - you decide your target - or you can always go TF (target Free).

It's been a long time coming for me, but I am currently 24hrs AF after an 8 year continued abuse. I have nobody to blame except myself, and nobody to answer to either...

The circumstances that lead to the initial problem
are now no longer of consequence, and I have managed a month or so total sobriety in the past, but always found myself falling into the 'social drinker' trap.

Spiralling health conditions (unrelated to substance abuse) have made me want to fight it harder this time - but one day at a time as the saying goes...

Hi bsg - I hope you've managed to keep going! Come back and chat soon :hello:
