    Evening all!

Cleggie - Thank you, feeling much better today. Slept till about lunchtime and then felt much better.

Peterbunny - got to say, well done on the 40 lengths! 30 is my max at the moment.

Not AF here tonight. Couple of glasses with dinner - rest of bottle is caling me but am doing my best to resist> Not sure how long I will last! :o

Felt very off all day yesterday> Ended up on sofa from 1am onwards - legs and arms aching and generally feeling unwell. Went back to bed about 8am and slept till lunchtime. Felt ok then onwards - maybe 24 hour bug??

  • :)Hi all BEAT THE BELLS!!! Made a lovely roast dinner for my son and girlfriend and only drank tonic water.:j

Had a scrummy low calorie hot chocolate and am settling down in front of the fire to watch some TV.
I'm turning into a right Golden Oldie.

  • Evening everyone :)

Just had to say I've been so quiet because I've been a bit of an emotional wreck - don't know why, I've been trying to read about it and the books say it all takes time for things to settle down when stopping drinking. Anyway, it makes me get cross with myself....but I seem to have lost all confidence at the moment.

I do love to read all your posts though - so I just lurk quietly....
On the upside, I'm still not drinking or smoking :)

(((Hugs))) to all and hope people are having a good evening.....

5 AFDs please Shaggy....well done on your diet :T I think I may be gaining the pounds as you're losing them :o

Hope your tooth is better Bearacus
(((Hugs))) Rachel - thinking of you and hoping your Mums' comfortable xx

Thankyou for thinking of me Cleggie :)

    Crazymum. Hugs.

That's why it's called recovery...you gotta recover from an illness that you have been ill with for years.

While you get better you have to do it without the very thing that you always relied on to feel 'better.' Cruel hey? I happily virtually hold your hand, and can only promise that it does get better. Maybe after it gets worse......

    Good to 'see' you crazymum.
Sorry that you are having an emotional time of it, but i am also not sorry in another way- because i really believe its a good thing for you, or for anyone who has tried to cover up emotions/feelings with alcohol or any other substance, be it alcohol, food etc.

Just know that i am giving you as much virtual emotional strength as i can spare right now, and if you ever need to offload, am only a PM away.x.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Hello, had a small glass of wine last night with DH last of a bottle opened from over a week ago for the parental types! It is amazing that a year ago that would nt have lasted the night it was opened.
None today except that which is in the casserole cooking hum, is that AF or not?

    That's AF :D
