Well done Shaggy on the weightloss and well done to everyone who was AF last night or wasn't and used the stop button!
last night wasn't AF but i had a crabbies and one JD then felt a bit meh and went to bed with a good book. played havoc with my sleeping though, i think its the caffeine in my diet coke mixer and the alcohol together. i always have trouble getting off properly when i drink.
i think i might try and avoid caffeine as much as poss in the evenings to see if it helps. only problem is if i have wine, on slimming world they advocate spirits and mixers because its less syns than wine so i cant win  its don't sleep and stick to plan or go off plan and sleep.0 -
Hi Everyone
Thank you for your encouraging words when I crept back in last week.
Reporting 2 AF days please Shaggy; I had my first AF Friday for a very long time yesterday:) My DH was out at a work do so I got into my pjs early and drank hot chocolate before having an early night with my hot water bottle - lovely.
Today isn't AF (I've already had a bottle of lager with my lunch) and we have guests tomorrow but I hope to report some AF days next week.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.0 -
Afternoon all
Well done on the weight loss Shaggy!!:T
Last night was a planned drinking night. Stopped at one bottle which I was quite pleased about as don't think I could have dealt with a hangover this morning. Felt rough enough already! Woke up feeling cold and shivery and its taken until now for me to warm up (think the nuclear temperature bath I had helped!). Just pray its down to the weather, and not another bug getting me!
AF here tonight - Mum and Dad are coming over for takeaway tea and board games! :T
Hope everyone has good saturdays
Miss P

Well was AF last night as per the plan, although didn't manage to do the ironing, so am planning to do this today in front of the rugby (England match as am here for the other one!). I do have a tendency to get rather overly enthusiastic in my support of the boys so hoping this will calm matters a little. Either that or I will be having a lot of burnt clothes!
House is very clean but we are sans house guest. Mum called as said due to the expected bad weather she would not come, but will try and get another date in the diary. TBH was expecting it - the weather forecast is grotty.
So we have HM shepherd's pie cooking and HM blueberry muffins (just had one, house smells great) and I did a double dose of gym. Not sure my arms will forgive me for that insult Combat and then Balance in sequence is a little overly enthusiastic really!
I am currently having a debate with myself about AF or not AF ness today ... part of me thinks stay AF and hit the gym again tomorrow, the other says "it is going to snow, the gym will be closed so enjoy a glass; oh and the rugby is on you are being so good by not being at the pub and watching this you can have a treat". As with many on here I sleep better sans alcohol (even one glass affects me), so we shall see. One thing I am confident of is that I can stick to my No More Than A Bottle commitment this weekend!!
Good luck to you all in your weekend activities, stay warm and if you have to travel do so safely.Start info Dec11

Another AF here tonight. Still have the half bottle eft over from last night, and i am aiming for that to still be there for next Friday.
Have a great Saturday evening all, i need to go and start making my chilli con carne...mmm, yummy!0 -
Hi all,
Someone has just posted on the Disability and Dosh board about wanting to give up drinking - I've pointed them here.
Evilsquid - try a mixer with no caffeine - you can get decaffeinated coke or use lemonade instead.
AF still and will be AF tonight - won't be going back out in the freezing weather now and have none in house.
Have a good Saturday everyone.
ETA 365 - that's exactly what I think - my stop button starts at zero. For those who can stop after a predetermined or moderate amount I think that's marvellous but it's not me. Am learning to accept it and definitely don't want to go back to where I was"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain." ~ Vivian Greene0 -
AF 3/20
feeling very pleased with my af saturday as I blipped last night. But combination of weather and waistline means I've stayed off it tonight, first Saturday in an age!
off to read and sleep sometime soon.

I ate too much last night (it's the cold weather!) but I was AF.
Alcohol in the news this morning.

ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
