Can't see me going anywhere unless it dies down - have lit the pilot light on the gas fire as the lights have been flickering already:eek: so trying to be prepared......
It's horrendous here too. Lights flickering and loads of crashing noise coming from various parts of the neighbourhood
I've been out to rescue the wheelie bin (and all it's contents) twice already this morning and I still can't find a place to put it where the wind can't get at itI don't think it will look good as a new furniture item in the house

Morning all, 2NSD days so far this month, day at home with little one so eating out the cupboards today!0

Yesterday was NSD #2 :T
But today isn't an NSD as I've had 2 D/Debits go out of the bank
I've also paid the balance of one of my C/Cards, but that doesn't count as a spend as I count the days I actually use the card.....
To count the day I pay the balance and not the days I use the card would mean I could spend on plastic every day of the month and only have to count 1 as a lost NSD !!!Cheryl0 -

I ventured out to put the car into the garage (which involved sticking a load of stuff that was in it into the car:o - really need that garden shed ......) - thought the garage door was going to blow off when I opened it!
Glad I've put it in tho' - heard something crashing against the side of my house (where the drive is) ... just braved the outside again and next doors plant pots are rolling around / smashed again:mad:. Drives me bonkers as the wind always blows them onto my bit, where they hit my car / house and smash into pieces ... and I'm then left to sort the mess out (always worried one of the 4 legged people will cut their paws on any missed bits:().Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

I can't get my car in the garage, not because of the stuff that's in it but because if I got the car in, I couldn't get outI don't have a sunroof which is what the people that built my house seem to think you needed to actually use the garage for it's purpose. It's not even a big car, just a normal family saloon.

Hey all, not been posting much the last few weeks, what with school holidays and DH having no work either, so not really been online, but I'm back to my regular postings now.
NYD was a spendy day as we went into Sainsbos and got the weeks shopping, yesterday was a very nice nsd1and don't see any reason why today won't be as well. Have the dentist today (making the most of it while it's free as I'll have to start paying for it from Sat, so getting in there before then), and need to get some milk while I'm out, but don't count that towards spending as need to buy it most days (rubbish fridge that sometimes freezes stuff, sometimes keeps things warm and occasionally keeps things at the right temperature, and we don't like milk once it's been frozen).Clean credit file:12 mthsCar loan: FREE! :jTHE PLAN: 1.Pay off debt £8808.42(£3254.45, £1570.32, £2698.33, £0:dance:, £1000, £285.32) 2.Save monthly for Christmas/insurance etc £150 per month 3.Save for emergencies /£1500 4.Save for our B&B £????depends which one takes our fancy0 -
Today was supposed to be an nsd BUT...... DH went to Mr M's with DD and bought some veg and a cucumber. So much for his " We're not buying anything till the money goes in on the 25th" :rotfl:
Seeing as how he'd broken the day, me and DD went to Ald! to look for a 4 bird roast to put up for Easter. There were a few left so I got one and a turkey. Dead chuffed with the turkey, it was priced at 9.99 on the freezer, went through the till at 6.99. DD had one too and was very happy with the price. :j
Good job all the xmas stuff has gone out of our freezers.:)
Realy foul weather here today, but have to head out later as invigilating this afternoon...not looking forward to it at all. An MSE friend is supposed to be heading from Fife to Orkney today...hope she has decided to stay put, as the weather is absolutely horrendous up North!!:eek:
Right, need to get the last of the food lists into the spreadsheet. Concentrated on banking and crafting finances yesterday as DH was still around. Ned to get off the 'net now and get typing.
Stay safe everyone xxx
May be doing a food shop today, or might leave it until tomorrow...we'll see how the weather is later

They're the same here Free - very long but very narrow:( I could just get my old Swift in with very careful drive in and then turn at the last minute so the front wheel was touching the wall  & it just left anough room to squeeze out.
Dinky's slightly better (I10) as I think she's about 4" narrower - and that makes a big difference but it's still not easy or nice (which is why I don't put her in unless the weather's really bad).
I still have to put the wing mirrors in (nightmare to get back out & reversing isn't my strongest point!) ... and I have carpets lining the walls so I don't have to worry about scratching the doors when I open them but ..... I hate doing it and am sure I'll have a "mishap" at some point:(
Arrrrrrrgh, t'internet's on the blink now too! What on earth will I do with myself if it goes off:eek::eek::eek:Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
