Heh, heh, that would be a laugh if we were!;) I am at the West End near Haymarket. Just hate waiting for the micro - such a waste of precious lunch hour!
I dont count gas bills etc although others do, so it's up to you if you count it or not.

Ah it's ok you are safe, I'm nearer the airport. 3 microwaves and 3000 staff in the building. Hmmmm. Best start looking at flasks then!

So Gas bill aside (which I've decided not to count as it's a bill and would be paid by DD, except I'm on Bulk LPG and it's safer not to let them have access to your bank account ;)) then today is NSD #4 :T:T

So 40% of the way there and not quite 40% of the way through the month. I might even manage another one tomorrow, and no weekend plans yet (other than food shopping) so if I plan well I may make it 6 by the end of the weekend :)

I agree with whoever said they were using things up - albeit I'm eating some out of date stuff! Had yummy enchiladas the other night, using a tin of mixed beans that had been there for quite some time . We've lived to tell the tale though! Next up are all the lentils that are stashed at the back of the cupboard. Following your advice, I should buy some root veg and get the pan of Scottish soup cooking :rotfl:

  • Woohoo! NSD #6 for me! Had my fringe trimmed at lunchtime (free), which should give me a few more weeks till my hair needs to be cut, and blagged a spare set of contact lenses when I went into the opticians to book my checkup. Sadly this does mean a spendy day next week for my eye test. I have also dropped my car off to be repaired where it had a disagreement with a 4WD who had parked bumper to bumper with me :( but should get it back on eye test day so all (gulp) the expense should be on the same day. Did have a worry about the cost of bus fares for work, but I have a friend a couple of miles closer in than I am, so if I walk to hers I can get lifts (and the 4 mile round trip on foot will do me good!) Off to cook roast chicken now, nom!

  • Spendy day today as DS decided he'd had enough of sarnies this week and wanted school dinner:mad: He did offer to take the money out of his moneybox when I said I was skint, but my conscience wouldn't let me agree to that...was chuffed he offered though, bless him.

Because I'd already spent money, thought I might as well pop into Asda and buy pizzas and goodies for DS' sleepover tomorrow night - ended up spending over £30 (not all on pizza and goodies, I hasten to add!)

Back on the wagon tomorrow! (hopefully :o )
