Hi All,
I've just paid £37.26 against my credit card that isn't on 0% interest. So that's my total for the month so far.
DH and I have "weekly" spending money so anything I have in my purse on a Friday morning is going to go on the CC debt.
Well done everyone on making those payments.
I just realised today I will have been 3 years a non-smoker. If only I could have afforded to save the money I would have spent I'd be almost out of debt now

Well went to check bank account today and by this time of the month we are normally heading towards using some of our overdraft but at the moment the account seems healthy so maybe I will be able to pay a bigger sum off the credit card this week. I feel good that I have started to take control of my finances this year and its all down to this extra payment every week challenge. I feel like a weight has been lifted and that I am in control again.:j:T Total paid to date is £53.01:T.
£5.00 + £53.01= 58.01 lets hope I can keep this up.

Not sure if I'm right or wrong - my O/D is interest free whereas OH's is £10 every month he uses it. We have cleared his O/D but live in mine up to the hilt. (I'm a student living on my student loans) I keep my money in a high interest internet saver account and transfer in my housekeeping each week. Best of both worlds - money earning interest and surplus each week going to the money we owe the kids! I would say use your interest free O/D to clear high interest debts.Extra payment a week challenge: This week £20.27 Total so far £221.41 :beer:0 -
Hello everyone looks like we are all on track well done.
My 0%card balance transfer has come through which left £67 to pay so I was brave (well.... Shut my eyes and hit the pay of balnce button) and paid it, just need to be a bit careful for this month, but feel great doing it.0 -
Ihanks for that, please let me be lucky, will look to see what options I can do with store card and credit cards, never thought to ring creditors regarding payment adjustment just let the dd come out, considering been lurking for over a year I don't appear to have learned very much ha ha0
