Not such a strict day today.
porridge and raspberries
chicken and avocado sandwich
would you believe it - a few of my sons' Pringles!!
small serving of HM marrow soup
beans on toast, little bit of grated cheese
I know I've only been watching what I eat for 5 days but I can feel no difference and am actually quite bloated tonight!
Ooh marrow soup sounds lovely, could I be cheeky and ask for the receipe, I live in a household of marrow haters and never buy one just for me, even though I could eat it every day:)'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Back to add
L - slice hm wm with Vegemite
D - chilli and a mini naan
E - didn't get done, been a sleep day. Been so busy these last couple of weeks that it's caught up with me and I've slept off and on all day/evening. Now looking forward to going to bed!

Third time lucky......maybe
I understand it must be a nightmare trying to keep up to date with all the posts and WI's, and I do appreciate you taking the time to keep a record of our losses :T :T
For this weeks WI I have managed to lose 1lb....yah :jJan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Weigh-in today and, as expected, it's STS.
As someone said the other day, it's hard to keep motivated when you're not losing weight, but I'm also clearly not going to lose anything unless I find some motivation. It doesn't help that my mind seems to be fighting me: pretty much every night this week I've dreamed about food and woken up feeling ravenously hungry.
Last night I dreamed about frying bacon, and had to really fight with myself not to get a pack of bacon out of the freezer and have the bacon sarnie I was longing for for breakfast.
B - RC cluster cereal with mango yoghurt (tasty enough, I suppose, for something that wasn't a bacon sandwich)
L - hot smoked salmon and watercress roll; handful of macademia nuts; pear
D - HM ham and tomato pizza with a drizzle of pesto for flavour
Well done to everyone who's lost this week - I really hope I'll be joining you next week!Back after a very long break!0 -
Uurgh, I feel tired and stuffed this morning!
Was out last night for a few drinks and a meal...I chose a salad (and a third of a basket of chips)...it was the king of salads, served on a large meat platter, and piled high. I ate and ate and ate, and felt like I was making no impression on my plate, I eventually left half of it.
In hindsight, I could have taken a tub and brought half of it home for the next day, I don't like to waste food I've paid for
I know we all like value for money, but I think I would prefer a smaller plate for a slightly cheaper price...a huge plate so full I didn't know what to try and eat first so that something else wouldn't fall off the edge of the plate just seems a bit wrong somehow...and I didn't have room for dessert
I always said I'd never turn into one of those old ladies who, when given a meal, would say "oh, that's far too much, I'll never eat all that!"...it's seems I'm getting older quicker than I expected :rotfl:
Oh well, I had to leave my car in town and walk home, so I suppose I'd better get moving and walk back in to pick it up...

Weighed myself this morning to find I'm an overweight disaster area , one week with a friend staying has been a glut of dining out and although I bought food for the week we only ate in once - and I obviously made some very unwise choices. So have thrown out the 1/2 loaf, to use the yeast/flour I will only be making bread for DD and neighbour, the last of the cream has been poured away, all the unopened rubbish food has been bagged up and taken to the food bank this morning. Then did a fruit/veg shop, the only treat I bought was a pot of apricot jam which will stay in the fridge for a year or more, til in the end it'll be growing a culture! I buy these things then don't bother with them...
Plenty of good food in the freezer, duck, turkey, steak, frozen veg etc., so no excuse for not eating well.
Intending to start as I mean to go on
B - orange
D - chicken salad with 1 teasp ff yogurt mixed with 1 teasp rf mayo as dressing
T - 3 crackerbread, 1xvegemite, 1xrf cheese, 1xscrape of apricot jam
S - melon, carrot batons
E - 2x10 mins done. 3 more planned. Starting a new pulm rehab course on Monday, it will be 2 1/2 hours twice a week for 2 months (1 1/4 of which is exercise) so should lose a few lb's during that time. Can't wait!
Thank you KW and everybody, can't think where I'd be without this forum. As big as a barrel like I was 3 years ago, I think
Have a sunny day0 -
Wow sparrer, you sound REALLY determined :T
I'm sure it won't take long to shift the extra
Wish me luck, I'm visiting DM this afternoon...

Right, i am definitely joining the crisps ban. I literally just had lunch and thought to myself " i wont have crisps, i'll have a banana instead" and 5 mins later i realised i had indeed eaten the banana...but i had also picked up, opened and eaten the crisps at some point!!! Eeek!
So, i am going to start small and aim for 2 days crisps free.0
